For me two places come to mind.
First is Point Mallard in Decatur, AL. Point Mallard is a water park beside the back waters of the TN river. The had a beach and roped off swimming area. I was about 15 and swam out to the rope and sat on it. Only my shoulders and above were visable above the water. The second place that comes to mind is DFW airport.
