FINALLY I got a hotel room. I don't have any idea what sorts of conventions are in town, but this was really a ball-breaker. Nonetheless, I am staying at

Crowne Plaza Allerton
701 North Michigan Avenue

If I'm remembering this correctly, the ADDRESS may be on N. Michigan, but the ENTRANCE is on the cross street. I'll have to confirm that and get back to you.

I'm going to add an afterwork session, too:
