Looking for a straighforward, traditional Thai massage I decided to give Aspara a try. 200 baht an hour; I chose the standard 2-hour option. I bluntly asked the captain what sort of tip the boy would expect. After the usual "up to you" nonsense, he said "If only massage, 300 baht". "Only", I thought. Hmmm. We went upstairs to a cubicle, one of 10 at the Silom Rd end of the building. There was at least one other customer there, a Thai who insisted on a lengthy monologue with his masseur, punctuated by calls on his mobile phone, which at one stage I would happily have rammed down his throat.
90 minutes into the massage the boy (whom I would not have chosen had I been given a choice but, after all, I was only there for the massage), turned his attention to my thighs and groin. He had a hard-on (decent size for a Thai) and was quite happy for me to suck away but all that he was offering was a hand job. By this stage I'd worked out we were the only ones upstairs.
So I went for one thing (which wasn't too bad, I'd have to say), got another which I wasn't expecting and frankly wasn't that welcome, and ended up paying more than I'd planned because of the ambush.
