Not a recommended practice: posting your phone number. While we have scripts in place to prevent search engines from indexing user profiles, they can index message board threads and in this instance, they'd index your phone number. This is why we discourage the placing of private info like phone and email in thread postings. Put it in your profile and it will be protected.
