Sloot, klong boats like buses have dropped their fares as crude drops. Red buses were as high as Bht9.5...they are now Bht7. Yet they are still operating the free red buses to "alleviate the hardship" caused by the "high" fuel prices!
Recently I drove from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and Isaan in a Honda Jazz that uses subsidized gasahol. It cost me Bht500 in fuel only to get to Chiang Mai...motoring now is a real bargain. The actual fuel cost in a Honda Jazz is no more than the current intercity bus fare.
