Last week I did my pilgrimage to the White House Spa in Bangkapi-and thanks all for discovering and reporting on this wonderful hidden gem. For me it gets 4 stars-well worth a detour-not yet 5-worth the trip.
Foned 2 days ahead with khun Aey/Aek-whos speaks anglish very well and seemed pleased to be able to receive yet another farang. However he was not present., but all was correctly briefed on.
Went there in style with the flashe new all-white metrobus-pay 20 bt direct to driver on boarding. These drive safe-but not fast-so the trip took much longer as the normal bus. Saw the red mob, a chao-na mob, a graduation mass=party. Saw 2 very attractive lads-who turned out to be lost phoochai Yipun-confused wit the regular bus-showed the the BTS at Vict.Monument-and thus lost site. Further on a walking elefant was spotted-a Surin foresight.
The KUMON sign is still on-but in a nearby soi. You pass the also promising HAPPYLAND sign when wlaking from the market. Someone commented this was a townhouse-yes of course, all spa's are-but quite an upmarket one.
The entry does not feel like a normal spa at all-more like you step into an upmarket designed living room with some very attractive studnet-type boys sitting. 2 were playing Thai monopoly on the floor and BIRD was sitting on the couch looking TV. I had asked for ORM and he was presented to me-with maybe a final chance to change mind-did Bird make a wink there? No menu-no pre-info to an obvious 1st-time customer-no price listed-again as if you step into someones private house.
I had silently hoped for a very sweet chocolate-brown Khmer-style lad-that was not the case. He was slightly older as the rest-confirmed my own idea of 25 yrs-and oh dear-looked 99% similar to an old flame of Chiang Rai/Mai of some 15 yrs ago-who also did a mean massage- the more so because he also wore that flames fave clothes-army style camouflage-saw it later in the Mall at a 69 bt sale for the short pants.
The other boys looked quite the saem as Bird-early 20, student type, a little dek naew, most half child=look kreung and all with spiky-styled but short hair. They were all normal clothed.
Orm showed me the room and seemed utmost surprised that some farang came fallen from the sky to see him. All stark white design-large rooms. A mix of Bed supperclub and a hospital for me. Still very clean-often a weak spot in some Thai male-only house.
Then heaven followed-the others have descibed it and I an only confirm it. One is naked from the start-not he.
Amazing Thailand: you enter a strange house and in 15 mins you ly stark naked -all white in an all-white room cringing from pleasure.
Orm now also the Bird-attributed sit on your back spinal massage. Not mentioned were the use of 2 types of oil-heating and cooling-on your back. A bit strange was the use of his slightly bearded chin on the back. In fact you get 3 types of nouat: body/oil, feet-the theory of sensitive spots related to bodeparts was clearly aimed at and also body-to-body, both sliding in the oil. I just let it happen-curious to find what would come-and it was a gradual turn from massage to very sensual touches. After some strong strokes some erotic ticklish type-etc.
Orm was utmost eager to find out-and I was quite willing to explain. But even though i speak commonday Thai fairly well-it was hard. Proper Thai is his 3d lingo-after Khmer as 1st and Lao, and he speaks it with a heavy accent and not that clear. Now my only job I ever had here in LOS was with Khmer refugees at the time-so a smattering of Khmer was once there-but that was too long ago and would not have helped here anyway. Also he stopped the stroking anytime I spoke to him-and that was also a bit disturbing. Now even this I expected-one other flame was an oversweet very dark Khmer boy and also from Surin. Maybe I stressed the internet too much-his idea of that was limited to playgames and the WH-site-his picture is not on-and he might have feared some por going around.
OK-we came to an end-he brought me in the shower and tried to get of the oil-not that thoroughly-as I later felt in my feet and socks.
Then down-were by then another boy had arrived-same style as the others. Bird was listening to his Ipod/Mobuy. A glass of cool water-and that ws it. Quite strange was that upstairs he gestured that payment should be done down-the fee was the quoted 500 bt/90 mins-and he led me to the door-and I then had to press his due tip in his hands-or rather pants-belt. Seemed like I could have out with just the 500....???
All in all my thinking is that they offer a '1 for all' set menu-of 90 mins oil only. Likely all the boys follow the same program-which gets added and adapted to as time passes.
Now with my dear friend we have stuff to repeat for at least 2 month to come. Maybe I should send DF to there for treatment-no, we should go together-ask for 2 tables to be set up in 1 room and then DF can show them his heavenly soapy shower massage afters-so we can claim some discount.
To gain 5 stars all small details also have to be in order-and there some dots on Is to be done here. As an afterthought some of that soft, sad Khmer lovesongs might have been better to get in the mood-but thats hard to know before. And a really good masseur also observes very good-like my current one for non-extra Thai style does very well-spotting sore spots and giving them extra attention. I was in and out in exact 89 mins-but the Thai massage I take often takes longer-pay for 1 hour-with the pre and after drinks, footwash etc.added.
Make a day out for it-Bangkapi has a giant, well-stocked and very cheap market, the MALL is said to be cruisy, there is a Tesco, and in nearby soi 113 should be a sauna-MUFFILL and another spa-71. I had intended to check that out-but had no time. You can try out that fearful Saen Saep boatride-out there the water is less of an open sewer=the reason I never use it. Or take bus 514 all the way from Silom-via the whole of LardPrao. Or use AC buses 8 (new yellow), 44 or 145 from the separate bus-lane at the north/park end of Mochit BTS. For later eve the Lamsalee=soi 89/1 bars are very close by.
Again-thanks all for the tip and see this as a form of thanks/khrap khun, khrap
