I went to the Lido last Monday and Tuesday nights when I was in SD. After that I'd met so many guys that I really didn't have time to get back to the Lido! But more on that elsewhere.
The workers arrive right around 6:30pm--so don't bother going earlier. By 7pm there is a decent-sized crowd there. Unlike some other porn cinemas in the world, it seems everyone here wants sex. It's really good: You go inside--and it's very dark, but after a few minutes you can see enough. There isn't any one area in particular where sex happens, though since there are a few small lights at the back, sex doesn't really happen there.
There are 2 hallways leading from the back of the cinema to toilets; the one on the left (as you face the screen) is usually locked, though. The one on the right seems to be a place to meet and see who you're going to play with. While usually quiet, I went once and it was full of about 10 guys jacking, kinda checking each other out. I looked at one and he quickly headed to the seats and I followed--so do try there first, though if you arrive right at 630pm, there won't be anyone there yet.
The first night, I arrived around 730pm and there were maybe 15-20 guys total in the cinema, though by the time I left (after 10pm) there were about 8+ just in the toilet area, and maybe 15-20 more in walking and sitting in the cinema. Not sure of the closing time, but at least 10pm+, since I left after 10pm on Monday night. Also not sure if closed on Sundays, but I read somewhere they are closed Sundays. Speaking Spanish really is helpful if you want to exchange phone numbers, etc--though the guy I met told me the 3rd time we met that he teaches English (!) even though we'd been using Spanish the first 2 times. Of course you don't need Spanish to figure out what's happening and participate, but it helps a lot out in the street, too.
Finally, to describe myself: Just turned 40 this year; long curly hair, so probably look a bit younger; in good shape (34"waist) but by no means a muscle guy or in perfect shape. So if you're younger and/or in better shape than me, you will have an equally amazing time at the Lido. If you're older, you will still likely have fun--but maybe not as much.
