Don't be a target for 2010 election

Michael Huckabee, a potential Republican Presidential candidate for 2010, has likened legalization of gay marriages to legalization of incest, polygamy and hard drugs. He further stated that gay couples should not be permitted to adopt stating "Children are not puppies."
His latest assault on gays in society was contained in a speech at the College of New Jersey and an interview for The Perspective, the College campus newspaper.
He stated that the burden of proving a gay marriage can be successful lies with the activists trying to change the law. "I don't have to prove that marriage is a man and a woman in a relationship for life," he said. "They have to prove that two men can have an equally definable relationship called marriage, and somehow that that can mean the same thing."
This is no surprise coming from Huckabee, In 1992 as a Senate candidate, he responded to an Associated Press questionnaire question about homosexuality saying it was crucial that the country not "legitimize immorality."
In response to a question about gays in the military, he responded "I feel homosexuality is an aberrant, unnatural, and sinful lifestyle." He has advocated isolation of AIDs patients from the general public saying it was necessary to confine "carriers of this plague."
With views like this, I'm surprised he doesn't advocate bringing back the Nazi practice of forcing homosexuals to wear a pink triangle so God's chosen, the superior Aryan race, could avoid contamination with the degenerates. Unfortunately, this early gay baiting may set the tone for a broader assault on the rights that gays have earned over the last few decades. If Obama can continue to improve the economy and can work an honorable exit from at least one war, the Republicans will have to attack the Democrats on the vague "family values" front. If they campaign that the Democrats are supported by degenerated gays bent on rewriting the laws of nature for their perverted purposes, gay bashing will be reborn throughout the country.
Stand up and tell these bigoted loudmouths "I'm not just a homosexual, I'm a citizen." Support your local gay organizations as they defend us against the coming storm. Most of the young people don't realize that back in the 1950's and 1960's, the anti-homosexual attitude of this country was worse than in most of the Warsaw Pact countries. In my opinion, Huckabee remembers those days fondly and wants to bring them back.
