6YO. and Spanish sometime later. Italian was sorta kinda picked-up sometime & somehow along the way; thus I was
not too unfamiliar with
Romance languages.
- While I've
not visited BRAZIL I've been several times to MADEIRA, where I was told that I spoke Portuguese like an Italian! I asked if that was a compliment? A roar of laughter and a new friendship was sealed over cups of coffee - Brazilian, of course!
- My advice, for what little it's worth, is don't be afraid if you
no speaka da lingo; just go ahead and do it!
