In BKK tonight - decided to check it out. First stop was Golden Cock. around 7 pm no customers, but about 7 guys, surprisingly most fit and attractive. Soon 5 of them were around me, bought a drink for 2 and finally settled on a very cute 22 y.o from Laos for a little upstairs slap and tickle which (after a few sexless days in London) i was badly in need of.
Next got to Soi Twilight about 8.30. All the bars open, shows being touted, lots of cute masseurs outside BKK and Bonny's, and while attendance definitely down, all the outside bars had fair number of patrons. Had dinner at Dick's (usual crowd of ex-pat farangs) and went onto Soi 4 about 10 pm.
I was quite surprised to find it packed!! Standing room only in Telephone with most outside tables taken, and all bars enjoying what looked to me to be quite good trade (for Friday night in the off season.)
Left there about 11.15 (no sign of any-one closing) and walked to Dusit Thani Hotel passing Soi Regent (pretty dead) all the massage shops (open and still touting) and Soi 2, music blaring, all bars open and plenty of patrons.
The only people to close at that time seemed to be the mulit-nationals (Starbucks, Boots and Burger King) , but everything else still very open at 11.30 when I reached Dusit.
So don't believe all the B.S. being posted, and if all else fails - try Pattaya where the boys and bars are waiting
and there’s NO CURFEW
