I had seen that story and was amused but also wondered about the sources and fact-checking. If I'd been the journalist, I would have done a survey of the number of ads for escorts in or traveling to Cleveland that week. I'd have looked at
Men4RentNow,
RentMen.
For such a story, I might or might not look at
backpage.com. The ads on backpage are cheaper, have very little required information and client or escort support, and seem to have some less reputable people advertising.
Anyhow, all I do know is about the
CRUISING for ESCORTS (CFE) review site associated with CFS. CFE now has reviews of escorts who advertise anywhere, although for the most part they come through our linking agreement with Men4RentNow.
For the time of the convention and a few days beforehand, I had only
this one review from Cleveland. That's in the norm for what I see anytime.
Of course, not all clients write reviews and many of the ones who do use other review sites. Closeted or "discreet" married men who frequently hire while traveling know the review sites and do consult them when choosing who to hire. There is one
"superstar" escort in Northeast Ohio who advertises in Akron, Cleveland, and Youngstown. He has many favorable reviews but his most recent in July was from a frequent local client.
I can't say if the clients who attended the Convention are more or less likely to review their escorts. I do recall similar stories about the 2012 GOP Convention in Tampa.
