Hello,
I live near Grafton. I am unfamiliar with the rest areas you are reffering to. I have known for a long time about the ones on Route 2 in Vermilion. Can you tell me more?

I have been going to the rest areas off of Route 2 in Vermilion for many years. Most of their time just to check it out, or to take my dogs for a walk. I have stopped by a few times when passing through, but It seems to have died down. I knew many guys that went there, some through meeting them there, others I just knew.
The eastbound area has always been the most active, but I have seen activity from both areas. I have partook long ago, on rare occasions, and seen some get busted by State Troopers.
Some of the regulars back in the day had names for the rest stops and parts of it. The one was referred to as the "West Office". Not sure why, given that it was on the eastbound side. The pavillion in the back was called the "Honeymoon Sweet". Guys would drive between the two sides, because the exits are not far to achieve that. There is a U turn that can be used to shorten the drive between if one feels like risking it. I plan to make a stop there soon, I will post my findings when I do. I think you had a listing for those stops, but I don't see them anymore.
Thanks for trying to help.
