Hi in most states (that follow the sixth amendment) the court requires that the person who brought the complaint file the charges, many accusations come from disputes, and the evidence may be manipulated (two pictures taken of your plate and someone else having sex in another car, for example) so usually the police won't put themselves in that position, unless the evidence is so weighted against you and still the person who witnessed it and provided physical evidence of such will have to testify. Doesn't mean someone with an axe to grind will not take it all the way, but it 's usually unlikely, unless it's some vigilante. It is more likely this will not come up, but do yourself a favor and keep it indoors with the blinds shut,
