We grew up in a time when the worst insult you could attack a guy with was being gay... we might do the deed - but we did not want to talk about it or acknowledge that we did it until the next time we were horny.
The kids today are much more accepting of the idea of gay or bi - but it seems like they have much less opportunity. We always saw each other naked - and if someone had a good supply of magazines or even better a VHS tape - they were going to find friends to jack off with (or more). Now everyone watches porn in private on their phone - so they may not have the stigma attached to gay sex - but it seems like they don't have the casual experiences that were pretty common when I grew up.
