-- I've been advised that in JAKARTA, and maybe elsewhere in RI., Indonesian money-changers prefer not to accept damaged, much folded, stamped-upon, written-upon etc. etc. foreign currency-notes; in fact they might even look-at the notes' serial nos. and decline to accept those bearing a certain alpha-numerical printing!
- Thus, before going there, it would be prudent to go to one's own bank and to ask for new, crisp & virgin bank-notes. - Should the money-changers agree to accept even slightly mutilated notes - by their own stds. - expect to receive a worse rate of exchange than for undamaged notes.
