the action at the WeHo 24 Hour Fitness is usually pretty good
late at night in the steamroom, showers, dry sauna and jacuzzi.
Some discretion is necessary since some straight guys do work out there and the employees do walk-throughs infrequently (that's my legal disclaimer!).
The showers have stalls but there are no curtains.
Lots of eye candy during the day at the outdoor pool.
Parking on late weeknights is pretty easy.
They are opened until midnight from Monday--Thursday and until 11pm from Friday--Sunday.

WeHo 24 Hour Fitness (continued).
All of that being said, they could keep the place maintained a little better, especially when they charge $15 for a day pass and it's the only gym in the area.
Restrooms out of order, sauna, steamroom and jacuzzi put out of order for days at a time, liquid soap in showers out most of the time, toilet paper dispensers empty, carpets dirty, rusty lockers, leaks from the ceiling onto the floor in the locker room, etc.
Someone wrote a letter to FAB a few weeks ago about the same things.

Which 24 hour is best? I went to ArcLight today and it doesn't seem good since they have the stalls liek 6 or 8 of then
no sauna or dry room
how's downtown Pasadena?

jobud...they do validate parking for the structure next to them so be sure to bring your ticket inside. There is a machine at the desk that you can stamp the ticket.
I am not sure of the cost since I live so close, I never park there.

I agree with the comments about the gym at the Arclight. It seemed almost hospital-like it was so antiseptic, almost devoid of any cruising other than the eye candy on the gym floor.

I had a chance in the last week to check out two 24 Hour Fitness locations that I had not yet visited.

Anaheim
(Lincoln Avenue @ State College)
Older small locker room with a communal shower area (no curtains or dividers). Small dry sauna that is very hot and dark, but no one used it. Had a bit of potential if the right guy(s) is there.

Hermosa Beach
1601 Pacific Coast Highway
Brand new facility. Co-ed pool, steamroom, dry sauna and jacuzzi. Small but very clean locker room. Only 2 shower stalls (one of the handicapped) and 1 stall in the restroom. It was too antiseptic (almost hospital-like) to be cruisy.

I will try to check out the new Magic Johnson location on Slauson, the new LAX location on Century, the Hawthorne location and the Santa Monica Sport location to see what's UP in the next few weeks.

Goo review Sorry you didnt have any action at the Lincoln/StateCollege 24hr. I have been there several times in the evening when that suana was standing room only. And it sure got hot. But I agree it is hit or miss. So is the Yorba Linda one which has a men only hot suana

I thought it might be hit and miss since that dry sauna at the Anahiem gym seems perfect since it is easy to be in the corner and keep an eye out for anyone approaching.
I went at about 3pm on a Thursday...only about 3 other guys entered the locker room while I was there.

I will check out the Yorba Linda 24 Hour as I will be in OC next week.

Anyone goes to the 24 HRS at night time or early morning ? I usually get off from work from 3-4 am in the morning, very safe hour and discrete, there's no one inside the shower or steam room.
Love to meet guys who workout in the morning hours and have some fun...

Note on WEHO 24 Fitness: on top of the constantly breaking showers, sauna, etc etc, and the complete lack of disregard for the patrons: *I've complained about a lack of soap in the day, returned at night and still no soap
*complained about vomit at the beginning of a workout, 2 hours later it was still there,
*yesterday I saw a man hit in the head with equipment that they had crowded into a small space while they did more maintenance work (no worker to be seen of course)
they have recently increased their dick patrols, and they have a no tolerence rule. That said - I've seen some fun things, and been involved in my share. But do respect the straight guys who just want to relax in the steam room.
Jobud8: be aware that they are completely overpacked btwn 6 and 8 as I think they have overextended their membership. It's impossible some nights (mondays esp) to get a decent work out in. To top it off, the Parking Garage is going to be closed for a while - which will really make parking difficult in the area. Going later is better. Weekends too.

24 hr, lancaster....hwy 14, to K ....drive east to 10th st west, turn rt.
sauna in men's locker area...i've blown a few cocks there. this location has a full size pool, and jacuzzi ... co-ed large sauna and steam room in wet area....sauna in wet area is normally slow.....could munch on some cock there with no problem.
