New in "Sex Listings"

 Hey guys, there's now an entry for TBT in the "Sex Listings" area of CFS which has a little more info such as address/directions and telephone number. Check it out!

Especially now, what with those high gas prices! We can now have "fun" in our own backyard, without the expense and tedious drive to LA or Palm Springs.

;) And add your own comments there!

cockboy 19th August 2005 10:55 PM

YES! Absolutely I agree! And if someone could PLEASE suggest to TBT if they could put a Leather swing in the Party room??
For guys that want to get gang fucked??
This would be such a great addition!!
Can someone suggest this please??
Thanks!! ;-)

Re: SB Bathhouse

For those of you who have been what was the age range you saw walking around. Mostly twinks? 30 to 40? or a mix of all ages including older??
Thanks

You guys are quite lucky that someone decided to invest in a bathhouse in your area. Sauna, steam, whirlpool, showers, video system, etc, all aren't cheap to install. Someone posted here that it is going 24/7 after Labor Day .... just think of the costs for power, labor, & other overhead for a business that never closes.

I don't know of one adult theater or even a bar that charges a cover that will let someone come in first "to look around at the crowd". That is being unrealistic. Want to see who is coming in? Sit in your car with a view of the enterance and check out who is going in. All cruising is "hit-or-miss" .... gone to a video arcade or a park and been the only one there?? Driven to a bar with only a handful there and none "your type"?? At least they are letting you know guys are in the place. A baths I used to go to, I would call them first to see how many were checked in. Couple times even from the pay phone across the street.

$40 your first visit with a room?? Not bad. Wanting management to "discount" as "incentive" to go??!! Yeah, get a discount for a month and then an increase, you guys will be the same ones to bitch then. Have you bitched to the gas companies with the increase in fuel?? This owner decided his pricing, go with it, or go elsewhere.

As I started out, you guys are quite lucky that this treasure has opened up in your neighborhood. If you don't support this business, it may be gone. Then there is your drive into LA or SD again for such.

TBT

Its a great place for socializing, talking and meeting people, even if one doesn't meet that certain someone..had a great time everytime i've gone.....plan on doing a complete week end soon:)

PublicSex90069 24th August 2005 05:15 PM

I have never heard of a place that lets you check it out before entering and I have been all over the USA.
I usually check out the parking lot (or the number of cars out front) and wait a few minutes to see who is entering and exiting.
It is always hit or miss depending on the time of day, day of week, etc, but that's the chances you take.
Some bathhouses have in & out access, but many don't.
I think this is the only place like it between outside of LA, the OC, San Diego and PS so check it out and post your review so others know what it's like.

MyMouthYourBone 24th August 2005 07:31 PM

I guess I was priviledged, I was given a tour. But then again your bone has never been in my mouth. HaHa.

vpkb 24th August 2005 07:33 PM

i rented a locker, but the owners gave me a room at not add'l charge, too bad there weren't anybody there that night

cockboy 24th August 2005 10:30 PM

Absolutely right curbmaster..

THANK-YOU!! So much for that comment Curbmaster I could not have said it better myself! TBT is DEFINITELY a TREASURE in this area I agree! These guys around here should be going there with bells on! As you suggested the cost is cheap when you compare to driving to L.A. fighting traffic and risk getting shot by a drive by shooter. After driving to L.A. which is SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS...you're soooo stressed out from the drive that you barely have the desire to have sex in a bath-house!!! Granted this place is new..and guys cannot expect it to be full 24/7 but give it time to let the word spread around and it will soon be consistently busy. Guys...shouldn't turn away just because the parking lot isn't full. Maybe theres only 2 or 3 guys..maybe they're hotties OR maybe you go in and 5 minutes later 5 guys pull into the parking lot? If you have the right (mind-set) you WILL have a good time regardless of the outcome! Don't worry about how many guys are in the parking lot..just have an open mind and try it out..and I GAURANTEE if enough guys do this...soon the parking lot will be full of cars. Just think if you had to spend all that gas driving to L.A. or Palm Springs! Think of the money you'll save! You know paying a cheap entrance fee is not always such a good idea. If its too cheap what kind of guys will be attracted to it? As with alot of things such as this..you dont want to be too cheap because guys will think its not good enough, nor do you want to be overly expensive. To me the price is just about right for this type of place. Incidentally!! Those video arcades where you dump in those tokens or quarters..you can easily dump in up to 20 dollars watching those videos! At TBT you can watch the videos for as long as you like AND be naked too!! ;-)

HISTORY OF GAY BATHHOUSES

here's the history of gay bathhouses:

gunnar24u 27th August 2005 01:31 PM

Don't go waste of money and risk your car being jacked

Hey Guys!

I went to TBT to check it out and to be honest I wasn't all that impressed. I got a free tour of the place, (no sling - CB) and there were a few guys there. The place is clean and somewhat compact since there are a lot of rooms crammed into what used to be a medium sized office. Parking lot is small and street parking limited - don't recommend in this area EVER!

WHAT GOT ME was the cost of going there: $16 to $20.00 for 12-Hr pass - depending on which day you went there - was a little high. For a year membership it was $40.00 (wait! that's not all) plus a FEE EVERYTIME YOU ENTER ( for example $8 - $16.00 for a locker) that fluctuates depending on the day or any 'special' that is being run. You don't even want to know what the room charges were! Yeah, different rooms with - Yep, you guessed it! More Charges. There was no mention of a room being included with the membership, even though I was told that by one of staff when I called. Where did I get this info - from a person claiming to be the Owner!

I'm a handsome guy, and yeah I'm hung well. Thought this might be a cool place to come and play, but I have to be honest here. You would have to be Horned up out of your mind and completely, stupidly desperate to pay that much money for sex. Especially over the long term! Until they lower their prices, I won't go there! I'd rather meet up with guys online or whatever and spend my money on better things. BTW, I've got 9" here; I don't have to charge $$ and don't want to ;-)

I saw another thread with a guy posting about how we shouldn't complain about cost. Too bad! I will complain and say that for now that place is not worth it! I work hard for my money &, I want to play, but I'm not dumb enough to check my brains at the door for an overpriced sex club in a very crime-prone area. I've been to hot places in Vegas that charged less and offered a whole lot more. Let TBT get real about prices/ add-on's and then I'll be back

One other thing, the owner should have gone for a better location. TBT is right across the street from houses containing families (Yeah, in a residential neighborhood - Not Cool!) with young Children who are playing right in front it. You might respond 'So What, they can't see anything!', but people are not stupid and will know what is going on. Which can cause a whole other set of problems. Add to that it is only three blocks from the S.B. Superior courts...

cubmaster4u 27th August 2005 02:14 PM

gunnar24u-

Interesting. This is what a Message Board is about.

Though not in my nieghorhood, thought TBT as an option when passing by. Will keep my eyes posted here on what others
encounter.

Rooms at either ROMAN HOLIDAY locations (Van Nuys and the one near Venice Beach) are $22 with no membership fee.

No place for a convertable!

Took a drive up to SB to check the place out. There is a fine line between that neighborhood and a DMZ! I thought if I was to drop 40 for a room I might as well just hand the doorman my car stereo and slash my top and tires. Boy's there is no place like SanDiego and that is where I am headed. For those not in the know

The Vulcan has an out door spa a sun patio, steam room and sauna Private rooms a bunk room and you can get a room for under 20 bucks. The Vulcan has mix of some hotties Chubs old guys and twinks it depends when you go it is exceptionally clean and everyone is really nice .

Club SD in University Heights Prices are a little higher than the Vulcan , but there are TV rooms and alot more hotties but if you are overweight or over 50 you might as well just jack off because the hot young guys are looking for hot young guys

Club 2200 Pool, Steamroom, Huge Spa ,Sauna TV Rooms NON TV Rooms prices change depending on the special but still a lot less than TB good mix of guys but no where near as clean as the Vulcan

Hope this has been helpful for those comming fron the Inland empire , that if you arrive at 7PM you don't have to leave till 7 AM when you factor that in the drive down the 15 is not so bad

The "NATIONAL INSURANCE CRIME BUREAU VEHICLE THEFT STUDY" has San Diego as 12th and San Bernardino-Riverside as 15th. Crime could happen anywhere. Could hand over your keys and stereo in San Diego too, huh? lol

Yahoo Maps has it 71 miles from San Bernardino to Van Nuys (with bathhouse, ROMAN HOLIDAY, there in Van Nuys with NORTH HOLLYWOOD SPA near there too. Your options to TBT to the closiest LA locations). That's 142 miles round trip. My vehicle gets 18mpg, that's just about 8 gallons @ $2.80 per gallon would cost me $22.40 for that trip. Once a month for a year would be $268.80.

FLEX'S BATHS (Melrose @ the 101 Freeway) membership is $15 for 6-months w/locker that visit = $30 membership per year. If TBT is close to you, that's $10 more a year + an additional locker fee for the 1 extra visit. Then figure out your gasoline for a trip into LA or down to SD.

I have an aunt in Lucerne Valley, thought TBT could be an option as a stop on the way home. Have gotten a room at the Howard Johnson's before and gone to the WESTSIDE 15 (room, drinking, and then a breakfast nearby - with a Denney's and something like Suzie Q's right there. There's $75-85 or so). By-the-way, talked to several guys & gals too at WESTSIDE (very friendly group) but didn't score sex.

Will keep my eyes peeled here on more reports on TBT. More curious to the crowd/scene inside the club than those wanting something for nothing.

Just keeping it as an option, as having choices is a good thing. Might pull off the freeway, if neighborhood appears to be very bad and no parking in their lot, I might continue home. Or a full-lot means the club is busy .... my vehicle is insured for theft and it has an alarm, do have a steering wheel lock I haven't used yet so bring that along.

Anyone been lately??

PublicSex90069 10th September 2005 05:14 PM

Someone mentioned that the TNT Spa for men should have special offers. The new ad in the Desert Daily Guide mentions Buy 1--Get 1 in Free and other specials and says they are now open 24/7...

firsttimetry_8 12th September 2005 10:57 AM

Anybody go over the weekend? I want to go but have never been to a place like this. Looking for info on what to expect. What it is like?

Anyone been there recently? Has the action picked up?

PublicSex90069 16th February 2006 05:51 PM

Since it has been open about 7 months, does it have some good nights or days? How about a certain type of guys that go there?

Spikedchez 18th February 2006 09:16 AM

Come On Cubby!

Cubby if you want to quote crime stats San Berdo has some of the higest murder and violent crime stats in the USA. As neighborhoods go Hillcrest and Little Italy Vs San Berdo no f-ing contest. Look I lived In Riverside. It is nice to have a bathhouse in the area, but boys hold the phone... A tresure? Unless you mean the new definition of Treasure as in shit hole I don't see it. Perhaps I'm spoiled I can not think of an experience more plesent than taking the sun on The Vulcans Patio on a warm summer day. I fondly remember my college days at The Cross a privete Gentlemens club in London. Victorian suroundings fireplaces , a dining room, Bar, Cigar room and on the lower floors the steam sunna. Pool and the upper floors small but remarkably eligant rooms . The Sex was great and and the place made it even better.
I only wish I had the capitol to do something like that on this side of the Atlantic.

COME ON SPIKEY!!!

Spikey-
I finally saw pics of what the TBT looks like inside from pics from their web site. Appears that someone's grandmother decorated it. Was trying to give the club the benifit of the doubt in the previous posts, since many were boo-hooing about the costs, with other making up reasons for it to be bad.

I was refering to it as a "treasure" as places like TBT don't usually OPEN as new businesses thesedays and San Bernardino sure doesn't have much in the way of gay activities like LA or SD does. This was before I was the pictures of the inside of it.

I gave the auto theft satisticts as you had refered to TBT location
as "a fine line between that nieghborhood and the DMZ" .... I wanted to point out that auto thefts in San Diego were higher than San Bernardino. There was another posting on TBT that someone didn't think their VW convertible would be there when they came out of the club. I didn't run the murder rate, as I was thinking most were concerned about their cars parked while in the club. I totally believe that the murder rate in SB is much higher than SD.

From what I read on this message board, along with one on another, TBT no longer interests me as a possible place to stop when out in that area. I also have never seen a bathhouse decorated that way from the pictures on their site, not my cup-of-tea and from those pics has decided not to go to TBT.

I might go to the baths 4 or 5 times per year .... will stick to one of the 2 ROMAN HOLIDAY locations or my once a year visit to the 1350 CLUB. I, too, at these other places feel comfortable laying out in the summer's sun. I have heard TBT has no sundeck or outdoors area. And you have fun at your places in San Diego and maybe you can make back to your The Cross "where the sex was great and the place made it better". I tend to have good sex at LA baths too.

distalshaft 18th February 2006 05:16 PM

how does this so-called bath house stay in business??

I totally agree this place is a waste of time & money located in a dangerous, high crime area! They still after seven months have not built up a loyal clientele base. What puzzles me is how they remain in business???

I've driven by there recently at various times, never seeing more than 6-8 cars in the parking lot. (some cars belong to their staff)

I think their only salvation is to reduce their prices and strongly pay attention to what their very few patrons tell them. Cease xeroxing drivers licenses. The older creepy looking cashier must stop stalking & spying on guys every single time they go into that pathetic orgy room. Rude, flippant cashiers should be immediately terminated. etc etc.

attempted 18th February 2006 11:30 PM

Yeah, How do they stay in business???

I wholeheartedly concur with distalshaft's above posting, with the following exception:

I, myself also have driven by this place many different times and have as yet to see even as many as the quoted "6-8 cars in the parking lot"! (more like 3-4)

And the other night, after a 'drive by', I was unable to get back on the freeway due to 'police action' with several blocks @ the nearby theatre complex and freeway on ramp being cordoned off with 'yellow crime scene' tape and police cars!

Their website is: TBT Webpage

JiminyGleck 19th February 2006 09:23 PM

If you are going to mention crime, no club is in a place that is considered 'high class' or without crime. Roman Holiday in on Victory Blvd, near Van Nuys blvd which is right in an area where there is a lot of gang violence these days. Yet people still go there. Also the handful of people here whom sit around and whine about how TBT 'can't possibly stay in business' or it's a 'total waste of money and time' are not the real world, and the real public whom will drop their money to patronize a place like this in their area. The demise or success of TBT will not be decided by a handful of 'experts' as you seem to think of yourselves.

Getting off soapbox.... :D

Spikedchez 19th February 2006 11:14 PM

HUH?

Glick:
Dude, there is whining and then there is warning. If a movie sucks I want to know so I don't waste my money. If a car is a lemon I want to know. If a place is a shit hole I want to know. The place is a shit hole and the fact that it is the only shit hole in the area does not change the fact that it is a shit hole. It is not a case of if this place will go out of business but when. You can forgive rude attendents , xerox'd ID's , high crime . poor facilities and a shortage of guys and high prices by themselves but just like the song says put them all together it spells SHITHOLE! The down side is no one will do it right, future investors won't say here was a great idea executed badly they will say guess ther is no market for this type of place in the inland empire. But think of the possiblities of a stand alone, closed fitness center with steam, pool, spa, private rooms ect now that would not just fly but soar!

If you got lemons, make lemonade

Make your own party.

Don't need a bunch of capital, don't have to brave the dodgy areas of town. This is fucking America. Do what you want under your own roof.
