CCBC is the largest - they offer day passes so locals do come on the property - sort of like an outdoor bathhouse. I went for one of their Monday night Bartenders' Bash the summer before last (had stayed there previously) but I noticed the property was rundown that time - the water in the fountains on "The Walk" stunk to high heaven. No clue if they have cleaned up the place since. Always can visit it on a day's pass if staying elsewhere - check their web site, think one day the pass is discounted (Wednesdays ?).

I have since stayed at the MIRAGE/VISTA GRANDE/ATRIUM (3 resorts combined into 1 - hence 3 pool areas), clean, friendly staff, nice continental breakfast in the mornings, and sex - if you are looking for that. I would stay there again.

My friend, Barry, likes ALL-WORLD RESORT & have stayed there a handful of times. Another friend's favorite was THE COLUMNS RESORT. I have not been to either.

DESERT PALMS INN has been there for decades - renovated a few years back. No nudity or high sexual energy - but bar & food service there, THE VILLAS right behind for laying out somewhere else with bar & food service there too, then a walk across the highway to two popular bars, THE BARRICKS & SIDEWINDERS (a Hispanic bar was there too - name slips my mind. Was Lesbian at one time, so called SISTER, then changed to TWISTER to keep most of the signage/remove a letter/add 2 more, then to ??). On holiday weekends when the gay resorts require a 3-day minimum (Easter has the holiday on Sunday - how do they get 3-days out of it??) & they jack-up their rates another 50% per night - I have stayed at the Travelodge right there to the north of the bars - less money than gay resorts, no 3-day minimum, & able to walk to DESERT PALMS or THE VILLAS to layout there or for their bar/food, and then to the 2 bars. A TARGET, TRADER JOE'S market (prepared food item section for cheaper meals), Italian restaurant below SIDEWINDERS, Mexican food place, & fast food all right there too, all within walking distance - stagger back from the bars.
