This was my first time to Guatamala City. I was only there a few days and came only for historical sight seeing. The guys are really hot looking. They haven't gotten chubby like a lot of Mexican guys that have adopted a more "American" diet. Plaza Mayor across from the Cathedral and National Palace is ground zero for cruising. Every other guy is making eye contact and is interested. Hourly hotels are within walking distance. English not really spoken here so brush up on your espagnol.

Visited one gay bar, El Encuentro, which I found boring. One drink and left. Had better luck at a local non-gay dive a couple blocks from the Cathedral.

Have to have your guard way up at all times. Don't have anything on you that you wouldn't give up to a mugger without hesitation. Never walk anywhere at night. It sounds paranoid but its not. Look at the streets at night, not a local to be found.
