Last time I was by there, Airline bookstore was still closed. That was right after Thanksgiving, so I guess that it is possible that they have reopened and gotten a crowd back. I drive through the airport daily, and the pink and blue neon on the top of their building hasn't been lit up since the storm. I don't think that they have opened back up yet.
Someone told me that Mr. Binky's in Elmwood has a decent crowd, so I went there to check it out. While there were some horney men there cruising like crazy, the staff was working in the arcade area, so it was hard to guage if there is any action to be found there.

Two places currently open in the Greater New Orleans area:
1) MR. BINKY'S in Harahan off Jefferson Highway 2) PARADISE VIDEO in Kenner near the airport From what I have heard, Airline Books was looted several times by a disgruntled ex-employee. Apparently it will be quite a while before they open back up. Mr. Binky's in Kenner was heavily damaged by Katrina. You can see the shell on the second floor where they had the video booths. I don't believe the owners/managers have even been back to assess the damage to their building. But check out Binky's in Harahan or Paradise in Kenner.
