There is no way for anyone of us who have shared your experience to imagine what it must be like for the young guys these days... Try as we may be.
The whole thing has changed completely. Being gay/bi/at times str8, in many metro areas these days is practically a new default. Sure, a few dudes out there are still sweating it, but by far, hardly anyone cares at all.
Once the stigma was gone, the gossip value of breaking the news went down towards the absolute zero...
