I plan to visit a few more places on my next visit to Thailand. I have been to Pattaya, Hua Hin, Phuket, and of course BKK. I definitely plan on visiting Pattaya again,Chiangmai- probably for a few days. What other places are highly recommended and for how long?

Recommended for what? For travel, Thailand has dozens of great places to visit. If you are just "cruising for sex" that limits things, but by no means disqualifies any town in Thailand! Biggest bar scenes are obviously in Bangkok and Pattaya. Chiangmai has a few places. I've never been to Hua Hin or Samui but hear they have a few bars. I enjoyed Hat Yai but the bars are more low key. Stumbled upon a boy whorehouse in Phitsanulok years ago that was wonderful but don't know if it's still around. Go to any shopping mall in any Thai town and start cruising!

I enjoy train travel in Thailand. Head north and stop in places like Phitsanulok, Uttaradit, and/or Lopburi. some cool old temples to explore, good food, nice people, rivers and waterfalls to see. The smaller towns are a nice change from the bigger and more touristy cities. Also, on a temple note, "must see" places include Phanom Rung in Buriram province, as well as Ayutthaya and Sukhothai. I'm not much of a beach or island person, but there are lots of choices if you want to relax that way, also.
