That's the "Thai" rate, which you may have trouble getting if you don't speak Thai and/or have a Thai driver's license, resident permit, or something else official-looking.
The "farang" rate is a couple hundred baht more. Definitely no issue with "joiners" at the place, though.

Just returned from BKK and I stayed at the Embassy. The rate was 700B, though when I checked out I noticed another Thai customer paid 1000B and got change of 520B. I suppose the rate for Thai is 480.
Absoutely no trouble with joiner and the lobby was quite empty at night. Nobody would care who you took in. The hotel is in the same soi with the bars, just next to Behigh, Stax, Waterloo... Only one minute walk to the bars. I used to stay in Pradipat Hotel, 640B for a single room and 740B for a suite. But the Hotel was FULL last weekends. This hotel is also no problem with joiner and has good restaurant for 24 hours room service.
