Just in case some of you may miss this, you can now log onto www.earth.google.com to see the roof of your house and also your Thai boyfriend' house !.

Next time when you are in Thailand, you can show your boyfriend where you live and what the surrounding looks like.

I had some experiments. I clicked United Kingdom on the worldmap and typed my postal code, I then was taken straight to my house ( there are 3 houses on this postcode by the way ). I could see my roof, lawns, ponds, all the areas around my house, my neighbours' houses, and the whole village !. Amazing !.

I also wanted to see my parent's home in Bangkok. I clicked on Bangkok on the worldmap. The software does not recognise Thai address. I had to try to locate the head office of Thai Farmer Bank which is on the bank of Chaophrya River. The Thai Farmer Bank building showed up clearly on my computer. As my parents' home is about 8 kilo from the bank, I followed the road that leads to the house and found it !.

For USA, you can input full address and you will be taken straight there.

Yea its very neat- a highspeed internet connection helps- note that some areas' for Bangkok are not updated-f.e. the ram intra toll way is only half finished you end up somewhere in the sand before you reach Lotus....

Josh, have you checked it in the last week or so? They updated parts of Ramindra, my village is now in hi rez, as is a lot of more areas since a few weeks ago....
