Well it looks like bbguy has the probable explanation, as no one outside thailand seems to currently be able to connect to these sites.

I can access both sites ok from Australia (Pacific Internet ADSL) as of the evening of December 28.

interesting - I think Pacific Internet also has a local Thailand ISP service - the sites may be allowing the entire block of IP addresses owned by PI

i am able to connect, but it very sloooow. plus it is in thai, so i cannot understand anything.
