Thaimeeting and ThaiboyX

I used to be able to access these sites while in the UK, but am having problems now, nothing to do with the content I think, just the "page you are looking for is unavailable" message. Friends in Thailand are accessing them fine. A reversal of the usual trend!

Any ideas anyone?

The thai government is banning a lot of sites and these may be some of them.

Thanks, but these sites are not banned by the Thai Government. They are still accessible in Thailand, I just can't access from the UK, and I used to be able to, and I can't figure out why I can't now!

One of my friends who live in Sydney told me
she couldn't open the URL of BANGKOK POST 2 days ago .

That was the particuler article of THE BEACH RIOT .

Perhaps it would be interesting to see where these websites can be received, given that the readership here is worldwide.

Both sites are still accessible in Thailand: I just accessed them now.

I am going to Japan tomorrow, and will try to remember to see if they are accessible from there.

Odd that they cannot be accessed in UK!

I teach in an ICT program and one of my students was telling me that there was a problem with a thai based Internet server.....or something like that, where it still can be accessed domestically but not internationally.......not sure....just hearsay.

I'm in the South of Thailand and thaiboyx has been blocked i.e. with official government announcement for weeks. However thaimeeting is fine.

Wonder how long it will be untill CFS will be blocked!!!

it may be quicker to ask where they can be accessed- True ADSL Bangkok for example!

both sites are on the same server and the server shares the one IP address for both sites

the sites may be blocking access to page requests not originating in Thailand to keep the site local. also if the local ISPs block by IP number they will block both sites together but if they block by URL they will only block one site!
