BIG C. - R'damri. ...

-- Today, (24th.), I took a look-at, (from the nearby pedestrian o'bridge.), followed by a walk-around, (at street-level.), of BIG C. - R'damri.:
- Construction crews appear to be hard at work re-glazing, cleaning the glazing that did not need replacement, painting the exterior and generally upgrading the outside.
- My Thaiglish wasn't adequate enough to obtain any firm ideas of a RE-OPENING date apart from vague 'Next year.' replies.

-- The BIG C's. admin. has taken-over many previously empty outlets in the nearby HI-FI. CENTRE;
- The men's hawng nahm is on the 6fl. now; adm'n. is 01.Bh.!
- Diagonally opp. to the main ent'ce., (the one that's on the same sub-soi as the non-ARNOMA HTL. side of BIG C.), is another ent'ce., (by an outdoors' food-ct. type of space.), with a couple of elevators close at hand that ascend to & descend from HIGHER floors on wch. I noticed are other HN.. However I decided that further explorations could be delayed until into the New Year: 2554.BE., 2011.AD., ( and the Year of the Rabbit.),.

CENTRAL WORLD - R'damri. ...

-- Today, (24th. & C'mas. eve.), after my a/m. walk-around BIG C. I crossed-over R'damri. rd. and wandered-around CENTRAL WORLD - R'damri., where there was plenty of eye-candy to behold busy 'Walking and looking.' - but not in my dir'n. - alas.
- I looked-in at various hawng nahm - Nothing To Report beyond noticing that most of the cubicles had their partitions extended UPwards by opaque quadrants to act as a discouragement.
- I reckoned that the safest HN. - if one may write thus of such public places - would be those on the same floors, (7th. from memory?), as the cinemas; there was v. little body-traffic IN & OUT. Also they had no glass quadrants.

Victory monument ...

-- Today, (02nd.), going to, (aprox. 14.20.hrs.), and returning from, (about 20.oo.hrs.), THE MALL - NGAM WONGWAN I looked-in at a convenient convenience at VICTORY MONUMENT.;
- The same sit'n. as for my previous visit there - I could have saved profitably my 2x02.Bh! 'It was the proverbial crap shoot.', as my Enthusiastic & American Friend would say.

The mall - ngam wongwam ...

-- Y'day., (02nd.), I revisited THE MALL - NGAM WONGWAM., (prev. posting #489.), - ETA. approx. 14.45.hrs. - wch., after the NY's splurge on spending, I thought might be LESS busier than previously - but not a bit of it: plenty of people - incl. quite a bit of eye-candy that was walking & looking - laden with shopping & with other bags.
- I went-UP to the 6fl.: the hawng nahm nr. to MANPORN DVD.SHOP wasn't too busy; however the other one on that floor was, with many cubicles being occupied. During my various visits to that particular HN. twice I had the occupant of the next door cubicle kneel-down and sub partitione offer themselves - but I'll allow The Hand of Discretion ... ..
- At one time, I saw two prs. of shoes in an adjacent cubicle ... ; but all of the time that I was visiting I saw a janitress but once, and that was in the HN. nearer to MANPORN. However in some of the HN. I did see several male characters loitering, but for what purpose I neither know nor enquired.
- On the 7fl. the smaller HN. was quite busy with some users displaying and looking at what was on offer.
- Back on the 6fl. I was amused to see a few fragments of a broken looking glass on the floor of a cubicle, wch. made me wonder what had occured to cause that?

Somebody came prepared in case he had to deal with micro-sized appendages?

And then when he whipped it out to have a closer look at this new-found friend's appendage, the new found friend got upset, insulted, humiliated and reacted with force?

Big C Bangna

One place that I haven't seen mentioned on this board before is Big C Bangna, next to Central Bangna.

I live in that area and the toilets there are full of cruising boys, especially in the late afternoon and evening.

The toilet on the basement floor, next to the parking garage, is especially popular.

Beware the obnoxious cleaning ladies, though.

Scb. Park ...

-- Today,(03rd.), evening, and over supper, my Enthusiastic & American Friend mentioned that he'd visited SCB PARK.* at 020600.hrs.;
- He reported that some of the corrugated metal sheeting had been pried apart to facilitate ingress & egress;
- During the early forenoon of his visit that place was busy, although many of those there were getting-on for middle age and seemed to be MORE interested in similar Thais than in that lone farang.
- He plans to return on 09th. for a follow-up visit and to see whether his first visit was but some post NY's. day's flash-in-the-pan or if possibilities exist?
-- E&OE. as reported speech.

--* Google Earth co-ords.: roughly 100-33-36.E.x13-49-48.N.; Khet Chatu Chak.
-- As an alternative to taking a taxi. my two 'bus.-maps suggest that #90. from either BTS. MO CHIT, (N8.), or MRT. CHATUCHAK PARK goes past SCB. Park - but prudent explorers are advised to make their own confirm'ns., ('bus.-maps of BKK. are not always 100%. reliable!),.

I cruised the restrooms at Central World one late afternoon recently and it was a total waste of time. As I posted earlier, the place is too big and has too damned many restrooms. It would be nice if there were a few that were hot.

Do the police/security crack down on outside hustlers?

I walked through Lumpini Park two different days, and it was very hard to find any available guys--and there were some worn-out looking (slightly older) ones. Yes there is that weight-lifting area, but I do not think that is really a cruising area. One day, at most, there were 3 guys in the whole park who might have been available (and none of them had any attraction for me). The other day, I had to walk and walk, and then I finally connected with one guy. As we were leaving, a nice one was entering the park, and I'm still not sure he was available. So that's at most 2 guys at that time. There are many police patrolling on bikes. I saw one police approach a lounging (apparently drunk) guy about 35, apparently telling him he can't sit there. The main problem with Lumpini is it's too big.

Around that whole Grand Palace / canal area (which I also cruised two different nights) -- I talked with one guy who said I should go with him because there is nobody else, because the police had just arrested everyone. There were a few other guys out--so he was just saying that to try to get me. But the fact that he told me this indicates that the police do crack down.

It also seems that the few guys who hang out on Rama IV between Silom and Suriwong, are worried about cops (they seem too careful and discreet)--and maybe that's the reason there are so few. And a lot of the guys in that whole Patpong area always seem to be walking (they seem to think they can't stand in one place). You'd think that there would be loads of guys outside in that area. (By the way, for some reason, I like the guys in that area better, even though they are not good sex. There's something about them that's better than others. I went with 2 from that area this last trip.)

I wonder if the danger of arrest/harassment by police limits the quality of the guys who hang out. And there were some real good ones from the past who I still look for but I don't see them--maybe they quit after police harassment.

Yes, the police do crack down. I'm not sure I'd call it "harassment", as soliciting is clearly illegal in Thailand. More like "doing their job" (as rare as that is).

BIG C. - R'damri. ...

-- Y'day., (06th.), I looked-at BIG C. - R'damri. from the pedestrian bridge that's across R'damri. rd. and opposite to ISETANN DEPT. STORE and from walking-around it;
- As far as I could see most of the external glazing has been completed and work is progressing on some of the external metalwork over the main ent'ce..
- But no mention, that I saw, about any proposed & RE-OPENING date.

Hi-fi. Building ...

-- Y'day., (06th.), having walked-around BIG C. - R'damri. I looked-in at the HI-FI. BLDG.,wch. is next door;
- The men's hawng nahm on the 6fl. was busy with users and at that time - approx. 15.hrs. - was quite unsuitable for any cruising;
- I then walked-around towards the back and took the elevator UP to the 8fl. to look-in at that floor's HN., wch. was NTR..

-- Today, (09th.), in response to Khun Obnoxious' kind invitation to visit BIG C. - Bangna, I looked-in at TESCO-LOTUS - S'vit. 50., (BTS.: On Nut, [E9.],), going & returning;
-- ETA.#1.: Approx. 14.20.hrs. ;
Both hawng nahms NTR.;
-- ETA.#2.: Approx. 18.30.hrs.;
- In the GF. HN. a couple of pieces of eye-candy seen, both of whom were displaying themelves discreetly. The one dressed all in white ret'd. and stood next to me - quite well-endowed for what is basically quite a small & neat body. He then went-in to a cubicle, but did not shew any indic'n. of wanting company therein, wch. actually would have been quite safe as the janitress didn't come-in until well after he'd left. He was wearing a pr. of v. tight & wh. trousers, so possibly he availed of the HN. to adjust his dress for MAX. comfort? I noticed that he was shewing a respectably sized bulge where all Thai young men ... .
