There's still vice going on at Silom Complex? Prostitution or something else?

I think sextile's use of the word "vice" does not mean the kind of vice you are thinking of. It's hard to understand his arcane and deliberately obtuse writing at times, but I think he means that nothing is happening any more at Silom Complex apart from chance encounters.

I think Khun Sextile's use of Latin is meant to be precise and unambigious, however even those of us who did study the language (in the last century) are oft' hard pressed to comprehend.

... but then again today's vernacular can be equally uncomprehensible- yo bro , wassup my man ? ! thx, gtg lol !

Precisely which Latin word is sextile using and is it a noun, verb or adjective? To which declension does it belong?

-- In this case 'Vice.' means in stead of.
- Economy of effort - one word in stead of three!
-- The Latinists amongst us will recognise the word 'Vice.' used as a preposition* derived from the Latin noun 'Vicis.' - interchange, alternation, succession; recompense, retaliation; fortune, changing conditions; duty, function, place.**

"Economy of effort" kind of goes out the window when people struggle to comprehend exactly WTF you are trying to say.

Have been there a fair nr of times-late last yr. Beautiful WC-s those Japanese all sing-all dance things with bumsprays, bumdryer, heating, etc.-if you can discover how it works. Though last time quite a few were closed.
But most certainly NO hanky panky there-cleaners are all around and look pretty stern. Meets are quite possible-it has turned out to be THE student hangout for study away from home, there are also a fair lot of english-lessons places and a dirt cheap 5th floor foodcourt-even cheaper as on streets-but mostly not very good, flanked with dozens of chain-style JPNese and all other kinds of mid-market restrts.
So cruising for to go together else would be my impression. Did make no attempt at all myself.

I don't need your latin lessons or your superior attitude.

The CFS members who have English as their second language probably have some level of difficulty to fully understand anyway, perhaps you might remember your own previous comments some time back about all English.

I think members who have english as a second, third, ... language have less difficulty understanding latin. They already have mastered different idioms, and are more likely to have had at least some latin in their education.

Some posts made by native english speaking members require more attention to be understood !
