New Screw Boy has now opened in new location in Soi Twilight on the 3rd floor above 5 Star - opposite Balls
larger than the old Patpong bar, same mamasans, same concept, open late - after 2:00PM the boys just mingle, may open disco on 2nd Floor, drinks 160 Baht. decor about what you would expect, boys about what you would expect, activities in the bar about what you would expect! bkkguy

Ahree with Johan - really great news. Will try it some of the very first days of February. Hope they will live up to our high expectations!
On 2nd or 3rd of next month there is a red day called Vicha Bucha Day (or4 something sounding like that). Do anyone know if bars can be expected to be closed that day?

I misread the first post, I see. I heard before that Screw Boy was due to re-open, but now it turns out it has already reopened. Great! Be sure I'll be a regular visitor when I'm back in February. During my last visit in BKK I was sick and tired of that Dream Boys and Future Boys routine. Boring rotating of the guys on stage, boring and uninspiring shows etc. The old Screw Boy bar was always fun, except during the last six months of its existence when it definitely had gone downhill. Let's hope things will be back to the good old times

the one criticism I have of the old Screw Boy is that they never did figure out how to properly rotate the boys that "danced" (for lack of a better word) on stage. You would think they would want to display their "product" for the customers, but it was nearly impossible to see all that was being offered due to the poor way they rotated (not) the dancers.
In most cases, the same half-dozen bolder guys would hog the front of the stage, leaving the more timid ones lost in the back. You would have to crane your neck in hopes of seeing the entire lot. I would venture to see the bar succeeded for so long despite the typically clueless style of Thai "management" (again, for lack of a better word). But I always liked the mix of boys at Screw Boy, and some of them were really nice (even out of bed!).

Hmmm...maybe we should just remember the old bar!
The 3rd floor location is probably going to be a real problem for them..they are at the Rama end of the soi with only a small entry that is quite hard to pick...then if you aren't a determined player I doubt you would want to hike up to the 3rd floor for an unknown venue. Inside it's very spacious ...sort of circular with a centre stage. The mama-sans are the same....but not much else is....didnt recognise any of the boys.....just a typical mix of types.....just nothing there to take my fancy......seemed much more restrained ...boys waiting to be invited to join.....I moved on after 15 mins. Maybe I was unlucky.....at 1pm it turns into a disco...will go back after 1am later this week.

I dropped in at 2 am. Lighting quite low and about 2 doz boys and girls in there. Only one other farang. I ordered a beer and was soon approached by a boy who asked if I wanted to drink with him. He suggested I buy a bottle of whisky to share. When I said NO thanks, he got quite pushy and asked if there was any other boy I'd like to drink whisky with. After 10 mins of this pressure I left.
This is definitely not the old Screw Boy.
