Southern Provinces

I was wondering if anyone here has traveled through Thailand's southernmost provinces (the ones with all the problems: Yala, Pattani, and Naratiwat). I think they're the only three in Thailand I haven't been to yet.

Golly Gosh you have been to 73 Provinces of Thailand. Did you have sex in most?

"We advise against all but essential travel to, or through, the far southern provinces of Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat and Songkhla, where there is continuing violence due to insurgency and civil unrest. Since January 2004, there have been regular attacks including bombings and shootings. Most recently, on 18 and 19 February 31 bombs exploded in the far southern provinces. The Thai Government has declared a serious state of emergency in the provinces of Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat." British Foreign and Commonwealth Office

Visiting for non-essental reasons will negate most UK travel insurances.

If I haven't had sex in 73 Thai provinces, but I bet I've had at least one boy from all 76 of them.

As for those State Department warnings, well, they don't enter into the equation for me at all when selecting a holiday destination.
