I’ve nearly always had good experiences offing guys in Bangkok or Sunee, but I can’t remember any memorable experiences that began in Boyztown/Pattayaland.
Another day, another perspective.

I considered going to Krazy Dragon in Sunee, but after reading a couple of favorable reports on A-Bomb and even a positive comment I made more than a year ago about the bar, that’s where I went, keeping Krazy Dragon open as an option if A-Bomb bombed.

I really can't remember anything about my last visit there. But I was VERY IMPRESSED this time. Many, many masculine types with meat on their bones and decent builds. Could have chosen any of several guys, but decided on a moderately tall, reasonably lean man with some abdominal definition. I think his name was Lit, but the music in A-Bomb made coherent conversation impossible. He had previously worked at Boyz Boyz Boyz, but went home during the low season. He wanted to go back to BBB, but they would charge him B 3000 for the privilege. Apparently any boy who takes off for an extended period, possibly with some farang, is expected to be generating daily off-fees. If there are no off-fees handed over, you pay before returning to work.

He is 33 years old, a bit older than I would have estimated. Very nice guy. Very fluent in English. I'm guessing his career in the gogo biz must be drawing to a close, although as I recall some of the guys working at BBB appeared a good deal older than that.

As often happens, as soon as I decided to off him, someone who really caught my attention appeared. He was somewhat smaller but well built and had a beautiful smile. He also looked remarkably like one guy I really like in a couple of Island Caprice videos. Before Lit and I took off, I made repeated, prolonged eye contact with this other guy to establish a connection.

Lit was OK. Nothing spectacular, but not bad. Once he departed I grabbed a song taeow and headed back to A-Bomb, reaching the bar shortly after Lit had returned. Doormen, Mamasan (owner?) and waiters all found that amusing. I didn't see the guy I wanted, but asked for him by number and he was still there. While waiting for him to come over I checked out the guys on the stage and I could have easily offed half of them. Maybe sensing this, the waiter suggested that after I went through all the guys on stage I could also off him. Very amusing.

So this guy is only 22, but looks older. He’s from Goh Chang and had been running a boat service there since he was 17. His mother is working as a cook in Kuwait. He was making good money and then all the misadventures involving the red shirts, etc hit the tourist arrivals and he took a hit financially.
He said he’d be going back to Goh Chang in a month or so since he didn’t like working as a gogo boy. He said he had had an English faen for a few years and made a point of saying he never took any money from him since he was making good money with his work.

Most surprising to me was that he was gay. I’m pretty good at figuring that out with bar boys, but missed it this time. I almost always prefer the straight bar boys, but this guy was exceptionally good. And once we had completed the business at hand he settled back for a bit of a natter. He did most of the nattering and I was impressed with his use of English as he shared his views on politics, business, farangs, relationships and more.

We shared mobile numbers and I promised to call him tomorrow for an encore. He commented twice that if he didn’t hear from me, I’d hear from him, which was reassuring after his mention earlier that he didn’t like being a gogo boy.

He’ll definitely be on speed dial for those times when my long term friend is away, but even if he does pack it in for Goh Chang next month, there was a lot of talent at A-Bomb that could easily fill the void.

Why have I not realized such a treasure trove existed virtually at my door step??

Wantnasian

You appear to be miserable in Thailand so why don't you move and stop wasting our time , telling us how the Thai boys are thieves etc.

I for one am sick of it. Most of these boys do a wonderful job and they are honest. and caring. Try treating them like human beings and maybe you will be treated like one!!!!!

Mic my bar

Went there last night and left disgusted within minutes. This bar should be closed. All boys were underage and obviously so. This was confirmed by a local who said all the bars in Sunee Plaza have underage boys, but this is not the case at Crazy Dragon where I also went.

I agree with Kaojai about Bubbles. Went there last night around 21:30. 18 dancers rotating with 6 on stage at each time. Show was professionally done with interesting i.e. cute (non go-go) dancers and none of the long gaps between numbers I find at most bars. I took off one of the very cute doormen which was a mistake. He said he did everything but ended up doing precious little except look cute on the bed. It became clear why he's a doorman (although I've had some very sexy ones in my time). The oversized mamasan is pushy, but overall it was a good bar for a bit of fun escapist entertainment.

Yes, Bubbles is not a bad bar, and it has some attractive go-go boys and a reasonable show. It seems to be doing well, good crowds at showtime.
The oversized mamasan, to use fountainhall's expression, is the dreaded Leila who used to treat customers so poorly in WildWestBoys.
Definately someone to avoid at all costs.
