"What's the rationale behind that, in this day and age? Are you a money launderer or something?"
I wish I have the money to launder! I moved to Vietnam to work in '94 and Vietnam then and, to a certain extent, to this day is a cash society. Even foreign banks didn't offer credit cards. I only got a debit card at the ANZ 2 years ago. I'm like 15 years behind the times ![]()

Well, u all know about BKK, so there's not much more to add. As for VN, in general:
- Boys are less "professional" if u will, more of an opportunist - cheaper - around $15 for me, - I find it too much of a hassle as a foreigner, because the cops always have an eye on illegal activities. Much easier to take a 1:40 min flight to BKK for the weekend. - In Hanoi, there r some cruising places - mainly the 2 lakes - but heard too many stories of customers (both locals and foreigners) being fleeced so I haven't bothered for at least 5 years. - Best places are probably the massage places where extras and happy endings are almost a given.
