-- 'ROBINSON'S. Dept. Store.', (i'sect. Rama IV.:Si Lom rds. - MRT.: Silom.), will be CLOSED permanently WEF. 23 may 08.. The owners of 'R'SON'S.' alleging that it's too small to warrant spending any MORE money on upgrades and suchlike.
- Presently there is an 'Everything must go!' sale in progress. - Reportedly the store's area will be taken-over by 'TRUE FITNESS.'. - It'll be interesting to see if 'TOPS.' s'mkt. and the associated facilites in the b'ment. will continue their svces. or otherwise? -- Bibi.. --

Sad to hear about the closer of yet another Bangkok icon. What was especially noteworthy about that ROBE-inson's location, at least during the 1990s, was the presence of so many young hustlers on the corner in front of the store. Always a colorful tapestry of flesh peddling. It will be missed.

-- Olde tymers can remember when that particular corner was o'looked. by 'Dairy Queen.', (Query - Dairy Quean.', Printer's devil.).
- It'll be interesting to see if MacD., Starbucks and Tops will continue trading there? - I've found that visiting the b'ment. CR. can be quite iffy. With a certain amt. of circumspection the well known SILOM COMPLEX SHOPPING PLAZA - just further along Si lom rd. by Sala Daeng BTS., (S2.), - can be MORE rewarding at times; but, as with most such places, it should be treated as AYOR.. -- Bibi.. --

-- I see that FASHION OUTLET has taken-over the gd. and 1st. floors, (US. 1. & 2fls.), and is offering many items of branded clothing at seemingly bargain prices.
- McDONALDS, STARBUCKS and TOPS are in business still; but the b'ment. CR. doesn't seem to be as cruisy as previously. -- Bibi.. --
