I was thinking more about this 200,000 baht thing. I don't want to sound mean, and I'm sure I'll get viciously attacked for my comments, but how do you know that this whole thing wasn't just a con job? I don't pick up wounded birds. I MIGHT help if the guy was my bf for a LONG time. 200,000 baht might be 3 years of pay for a Thai. I hear story after story about Thai getting helped out of purportedly desperate situations. It's funny how so many of them need the help. I'll bet that if they were Indians in India, nobody would help. It's the sap farangs in Thailand who get suckered into helping Thai. How do Thai manage to get such special treatment? The loan shark here probably felt VERY rewarded in the end.

It would seem that anyone disparaging someone in this forum should be allowed to have his/her supporters. No one asked you to care about his humanitarianism, it was mentioned to defend the kind of person he is known to be after a previous posters remarks.

I could comment on the owners of other bars who are rude to their customers, and have prices that are total rip-off's but I don't think it is proper to do it on this board. AS I understand the rules of this board, there are to be no personal attacks on here.

I'm combining some reports from other forumers who sent to me, and also I had the pleasure of another recent visit. ;)

I only post the "new" or variation of the shows here.

1. Muscle posing - Extended Remix! It's raining men!

Tawan's signature show is now the "Wam! Bam! Thank you man!" is usually in segment with groups of bodybuilders in threes. But, I saw a variation recently which bears reporting...

The usual trio started the show, well oiled and are the ones in good shape. #45(edited) with the goatee led the pack - he usually doesn't - so I thought it was a bad sign all the others were taken. I didn't see #46, or the other really muscular bodybuilders in the first group. But then, the next 2 groups were duos. So, I thought what a bummer... no muscle guys tonight. Anyway, again Tawan had a small surprise.

Finally for the 4th and last group came in: As expected, well oiled and fully erect and in full muscle glory. Hey, there's #37 whom I commented was probably the 2nd or 3rd best of the lot, then 2 more. My heart sank - #46 wasn't there. Then, before the stage door closed, #46 and #12 came in. Bam! Thank you again! All 5 posing briefly, while #12 and another more athletic new guy but with a nice 7 incher took turns to pose at little podium on either side of the front and left pillar next to the stage. I've seen a regular customer come to see the show, and table was reserved for his entourage... At the end of the show, all the boys lined up and got 200THB from him. No bull. All the guys!

I'd say if you like the particular performer, just give them a 100THB. During, or after the performance.

Sometimes, when a few customers are "in the mood" during the shuckwow show, they would eventually "team up" and get all the guys to part with their precious load. :p

i visited tawan bar last monday. the experience was positively depressing. very few guys on stage or in the show. most guys were very short (5'6 or so). only one had truly muscular body. most guys were rather fat. there were some younger guys too, with defined bodies. they were also short though.

the show itself was enormously boring. thankfully, the fucking show featured one masculine bttm, who was fit (not too muscular).

in short, i've got no idea why would anyone pay for any of these guys. i'd not talk to most of them if they were available free of charge at dj.

a few taiwan guys work out at california fitness in silom. it's possible to pick up at least one of them (possibly the best looking one as well, who's way taller than others). i didn't make a move despite his smiles, so got no idea what are his off-peak rates.

In 1st place: Jak
2nd place: Nop (#37)
3rd place: Wit (#12)

In my opinion, well, #37 would be my top choice. He overtook #46 to be the most muscular recently, but Jak is seasoned and more bulkier (but still lean).

It was bursting at the seams on Friday - probably 100+ customers? They had to add additional chairs. Show-wise, the contest was a lot of eye-candy, unfortunately, not many "non-Tawan" bodybuilders took part. If there were, it may have opened up opportunities to get their contact numbers, and given the friendly nature of the thais, I was hoping to find some new blood who may work freelance as trainers and maybe part-time as well... you know... . :D No problem - there was still a lot of muscles, and skimpy posing briefs. Yeah!

Some guys already re-started their training and dieting, while some maintained their form after the October Latchford Classic competition. Can't wait to return in December around the nationals... ;)

@likethai, does that mean that jak does not work in tawan? when is the national competition and where will it be held?

Hi, Jak still works at Tawan. Like the rest of the bodybuilders, he's usually OFFed early in the evenings. Sometimes if you are lucky, they will be back around the 1st show 10:30-10:45pm..
