bus 825

Hi

I could find information about a bus running from Suvarnabhumi airport to Nong Khai. As I will arrive at 6.30 pm in BKK this could be a possibility for getting to Vientiane as soon as possible. Only one problem: I can't find a time table for this bus... Does anybody know when bus 825 leaves from the airport? And when it arrives in Nong Khai?

Thanks!
Stubru

That bus company's Web site is ºÃÔÉÑ· ¢¹Êè§ ¨Ó¡Ñ´ | Transport Co., Ltd. but I can't read Thai.

Is flying out of the question? Lao Air has flights.

The Suvarnabhumi to Nongkhai bus listed on that site departs at 21.00 and takes nine hours to get to Nongkhai.

It's the last bus listed on this page:

Thanks a lot for this helpful information.
I suppose I could make it to the 9pm bus...
I already checked flights but the last one is at 8pm and I guess I won't have enough time to catch that one.

Most official airport websites list the minimum transit times between arriving and departing flights. I have checked the Airports of Thailand and the Suvarnabhumi sites. Not surprsingly, there is absolutely no information there (!) so it's difficult to assess if 90 minutes will be sufficient for you to change flights. However, TG recommends a minimum of 75 minutes if switching between their flights to a Star Alliance airline. This presumably means non-Star Alliance transfers should be longer.

I suggest you check quickly with the airline you are taking in to Bangkok to find out if 90 minutes is acceptable to it. A quick hop to Vientianne is surely preferable to an overnight bus trip.
