Icon, you need to be taken to task on this one, I'm afraid. I like you and find your posts generally helpful - but you overstep the line with respect to the repulsion you seem to harbor for older farang men. You often make very rude and unnecessary comments about your dislike for this demographic, and I personally find it completely unnecessary. Why do you do this? Are you possibly fearful of getting older?

I am a 37 year-old, fit, and good-looking Australian man. There are a number of "types" that are not my cup of tea - including overweight people or very camp guys. However, I would never go out of my way to be so rude about the fact that I don't find them attractive. Of course, we all have our likes and dislikes - but why be so vociferous about it and in such a negative way?

I know that you will take this criticism badly. But I honestly felt it necessary to come forward and to reprimand you for your unnecessary and bitchy comments about older men. It's just so impolite. If you are revolted by a particular demographic, I think you should keep your repulsion to yourself or at least tone down your comments so as not to offend people unnecessarily

I can very much appreciate the sexual preference for younger guys (I'm 51, almost 52). But what I've never understood, monitoring things here at CFS, is why one must feel the need to praise one group at the expense of another. Love your young guys, but why put down the older men? Not wanting to appear like I'm ganging up on you, Mr. Icon, but for the vast majority of gay men I've ever encountered who were on the younger end of the age spectrum, mid-forties, your stated age, is beyond over the hill. These men look at you and see the old in you that you don't see, just as you look at those much older men and perhaps you see old in them they do not see. At least on this side of the ocean, old/troll/ancient begins at about age 35.
