Nothing new, they fill Dream Boys and then the overflow goes to Boys Bangkok, if there are customers. Much better than cramming everyone in one bar. Then the show starts in Dream Boys and repeats down at Boys Bangkok at a 15 to 20 min delay. Boys Bangkok does not have the stair case and the drop down pulleys but it's basically the same show.

Then the late show, midnight, generally not as well attended, moves down to the smaller bar, Boys Bangkok.

Makes sense if you own two bars next to each other and can't always fill both in every night. Still the only two non-smoking go-go’s on the soi. Ocean Boys has pretty good ventilation, so unless your next to a smoker it’s not a smoky house, the rest are smoky and you’ll come out with that odor on your clothes and hair.

I think the Banana Bar has a new manager or owner?

Good information Trongpai. Thanks. When I have seen the show at Dreamboys, I know staff from Boys Bangkok are in it. I thought they were only doing one show a night. But the delay system, run downstairs and repeat makes sense.

I agree that Dreamboys is the best gogo in BKK. I won't go into the others any longer as they all seem to allow smoking again as you point out.

I used to check out X-size on occasion, but last time I was in there, two months ago, the place was filled with smokers -all staff.
I can understand and maybe even forgive the bar not wanting to offend a customer by asking them not to smoke, but they should not allow staff to smoke.

Jupiter 2000 is non-smoking now too or at least it was when I was last there about 3 weeks ago. Packed to the rafters on a Saturday night, extra seats added and hard to get a good seat to see the show.

This no smoking rule did not seem to be going over so well with all the Asian tourists who were sending up smoke signals just outside the door in the entryway to the Suriwong Hotel.

I read on another website that the packed houses in the go go bars in the first week of October was visitors from China on holiday. It is Chinese holiday week (i believe their national day).

That must be the reason the bars are full right now (except for Wednesday night when it was raining) because it could not be for what is on offer. Over the last few days I have visited a few of what used to be the better bars. X-Boys was empty (Wednesday) but had a fresh lineup of good looking boys, one of whom (a favourite of mine) I offed. Dreamboys was busy (Thursday night) but boys were a dull lot. Drinks at 300 baht. Also Thursday visited Hotmale who are celebrating some sort of anniversary - place crowded, full of drag queens serving drinks at 300 baht and extracting tips by selling "stars" for a lineup of unattractive boys, new show but dull, dull, dull and no sex. Seems like celebrating an anniversary means fun for staff and ripoff for customers. On Friday went to X-size -not full but good lineup and reasonable sex show but pricey drinks and off fees. Offed a couple of boys with my friend which led to a great night. Saturday night went to Jupiters which was not overcrowded as usual maybe because they still offer the same macho show accompanied by the same ear splitting music that they have been doing for years. Lineup of boys looked new, drinks priced at 280 baht. Seems like inflation has hit the bars but quality of what is on offer has reduced - well you don't have to try when the bars are filling anyway do you.
