Bodybuilders go-go bars, massage
Are there any other places with mostly (>70%) bodybuilders or hunks other than Tawan in Bangkok ?
Please give details like the level of service, boys, price, location etc. |
hello, but sorry-cannot remember having seen or noted any other-as fas as bars etc go.
The training place in Lumpini park is often mentioned for that too-but it seems that also mainly Tawan staff doing their work-outs. Real bodybuilding simply is not at all popular here in Thaild. |

-- With how many others, especially Thais - as meeting Thais may be possibly one reason why a good many farangs come to Thailand - have you checked-out the above statements that 'Even shave their chests etc.. ... . Many people prefer the hair.'? -- In my ltd. experience of the possibly only farang-friendly sauna here in BKK. - BABYLON SAUNA - I've noted that in the dark rooms and in the steam rooms the first place that many Thais feel for is the chest: if that's even moderately hairy then they'll turn-away; should the chest be smooth, either naturally, or by shaving, or by waxing, or by whatever, then they'll feel the forearms, and if hairy they'll be unlikely to pursue anything else with that particular person. -- As a personal statement: of all the various Thais whom I've met during my score or so of yrs. here, there have been LESS than the number of fingers on one hand who've not objected, even if only mildly, to chest hair; the others have made known their views all too obviously. |
Thai men not partial to body hair
Well, a revelation, now I know.
Do you know why? Please do tell. |

-- Naturally, I can write only of my own & personal experiences; others may well have rec'd. different impressions etc. etc.. - Over the yrs. I have found that should I not shave my chest before going to B'LON. SAUNA - even if there's only a slight sensation of hair - then, more than likely, I'll be rejected. Whereas a chest as 'smooth as silk.' would be MORE likely to gain acceptance and ... ! ;) -- But feeling for a 'Six pack.', or otherwise, one would feel the stomach, wouldn't one? |
Additionally, plenty of Thais believe that hair (on body, pubic, underarm, on head) automatically has bad smell / odor.
Which is one of the reasons why many Thai men will automatically shampoo their hair (on their head), as well as their whole body of course, before sex. Ultimately it's horses for coures, It's well established that the majority of Asians prefer other Asians. That's life. |

Likes and dislikes
More than 30 years ago I was at a large and popular disco in Sydney. In those days I wasn't afraid to take off my shirt to dance. I got the eye of a very interesting Indonesian student, who took off his shirt and joined me on the dance floor with an upper body to be very proud of.
Suddenly a caucasian guy stepped in front of me and said "You gunna have sex with that, it'd be like having sex with a skun rabbit". I quickly invited the young man to leave the dance floor and we went for a late night meal and later we enjoyed some desserts. But the truth is that in those days there was a quite negative attitude towards Asian men at gay venues in Australia and against caucasinas who liked Asian men. And quite often caucasians made rude and caustic remarks to causasians. And for many years in both Syney and Melbourne there were specific venues where the customers were Asians looking for other Asians and some looking for caucasians and 99% of the cuacasian customers were primarily interested in Asian men. Maybe those venues still operate? Hope the attitudes have changed. |

Thais don't clean themselves well?
Sorry but I don't accept your comment that Thai's don't have clean bodies, and that they don't use soap.
|
I cannot accept that either. I can count on one hand the number of Thai guys I have encountered over the years who were anything less than squeaky clean. The only time I've noticed boys not washing their hair is in short-time encounters where they don't want to mess up their gel job.
|
I don't know why my experiences are so different. It seems that they don't like to wash their hair (almost like they think it's unhealthy for the hair) Another observation: if they have long hair, they hate to wash it. I like when they have short hair--it also dries quicker. I also hate the sloppiness of many Thai's hair. I heard that this is a Korean influence.

Thai cleanliness
As Icon rightly said, only a tiny numbers of Thais are anything less than squeaky clean. Thais are brought up to be fastidious about personal cleanliness and personal hygiene.
I don't know where you get this idea that: "They don't like to wash their hair because it's unhealthy for the hair", but I suggest it's just not true. "If they have long hair, they hate to wash it". Again I dispute this. "You like it when they have short hair - it dries quicker", are you in fact revealing that you simply don't like long hair so you criticize long hair in any way you can. My guess is that most members here have had the experience of taking a young man somewhere and the absolute first requirement is that both people shower, and I'll say again, in my experience many will also shampoo their hair. It's true that longer-hair takes longer to shampoo and to groom after the shower, but are you forgetting that it's very posssible the young man with long hair has in fact shampooed his hair just before he left home to come to work, so because of the time factor he now washes his body and misses the hair? "I also hate the sloppiness of many Thai's hair. I heard that this is a Korean influence". Thai youngsters are fashion conscious like all young people everywhere. It's probably true that some Japanese and Korean fashion factors do currently have some influence on Thai youngsters, thats' life. You might describe it as sloppy, they think it's cool - it's fashion. Doesn't necessarily equate to dirty. |

-- In my short time of a score or so of yrs. of first visiting and now living here in the LoS. I can recall meeting only one Thai money man - ex. Royal Thai Navy & part-time taxi-driver - whose pers. hygiene was OUT. - I'd say that the greater majority of the rest were scrupulous in their pers. hygiene - especially when using my HOT water! -- In fact my main objection to quite a few Thai boyz is that their breaths smell - but that, I u'stand., is caused by their spicey foods. there's a separate thread on that v. point I seem to remember. -- In BABYLON SAUNA it's been my experience that it's the farangs who smell - pong mak mak! :( |
Very interesting thread. I think there are hardly cleaner boys than South East Asians. Even in Isarn villages they shower at least 2 times per day. I never had a boy with a smelling cock. Just one exeption and that one had a phimosis.
Wheras I wished some would shave or shorten their straight pubic hair. |

In my ltd. experience in BABYLON SAUNA it's invariably the farangs' grasping fingers that go for either one's cock or for one's back passage - v. seldom the Thais. |
Have to agree with Wantasian - in the past year or so (and I have been coming here for 20 years and now live here) many of the boys refuse to wash their hair if they have had any styling done to it before going to the bars. On several occasions, I have showered after them and found the soap bars still dry, showing that they have only rinsed themselves off.
Regardless of whether or not they might have showered just prior to meeting you, their hair smells of the cigarette smoke from their own smoking, or in the bars - nothing more disgusting than that when you are trying to be cozy with someone - bf or pickup! (OH, did I say that -of course there is no smoking in the bars, the laws prohibit it -) Lets go back to the old days when they all showered from top to bottom and their hair, long or short, always smelled and (IMHO) looked good, unlike today when you wonder if they are trying to copy the look of a pinneapple or durian! |
