-- An elderly & American friend, he's been visiting the LoS. bi or tri-annually for the last so-many yrs., is back here in BKK..
- Rather then split-up his obsv'ns. amongst several & individual topics I'll consolidate all of them them herein:

1.- SURIWONGSE HTL. - Suriwong rd.: Maybe a dozen or so guests during the week & rising to possibly a score or thereabouts at week-ends;
2.- DICK'S. CAFE. - Soi Twilight: OPEN but under renovations; drinks & snacks are brought-across from BALL'S BAR.;
3.- BANGKOK MASSAGE - Soi T'light.: An heavy-set masseur was chosen. Mattress on the floor. Common shower area, but not joined therein by masseur. The massage was adequate enough but nothing about wch. to write home, as it were. Masseur wanted 500.Bh. for the usual '[IH]appy ending[/i].', 1K.Bh. to be the Top., 1.5K. to be the Bottom & 2K.Bh. for everything! No add'n. svces. were chosen & masseur was given 500.Bh. for just the massage. Massuer is of TH./Burmese parentage, a Muslim and has shaved-off his pubic hairs. His dark skin distinguishes him from the other masseurs in attendance there;
4.- CINEMA - Yaowarat rd., ChinaTown - busy on 25th., 26th. & 27th. a'noon.; with a better choice of other spectators than usual over the week-end;
5.- TAWAN BAR - Soi Than Tawan: on 26th. evening was full - mainly asians, he judged; but not to needing extra seating to be put-out. Drinks at 250.Bh.. Perf'ce. there was v. much of the usual type, incl. a bold show, but with possibly LESS of the SM. aspect.
- No smoking, music moderately loud;
- No wimmen seen & but a couple or so of other farangs.

-- Passed-on to me by e-mail, from another correspondent, was news about the new sauna STYLE BKK. - Silom 2/1.. Adm'n. was 100.Bh., and was given another tkt. for one free adm'n.. Main point was that it CLOSES at 03.oo.hrs., thus might be looked-upon as a short-stay hotel.
- Not busy at that particular time; but felt that it might become popular with other asian visitors as it becomes better known?
