Yes definitely a cab ride - and not worth it. Spartan rooms, (no mirrors) small TV, mainly straight short time customers, and I recall being charged 500bt ! (Maybe because I took 2 boys there together :)

I used to use this with one of the Tn Suri stall holders. He used to insist I walk ahead and hail a taxi away from where he was so his wife 'wouldn't know'. Of course I believed him 100%. 555

Agree with comments above but it is a useful alternative.

Yes...the Niagara does charge more if you bring back more than one. I can confirm that from personal experience. ;)

Well of course they don't actually 'own' the buildings etc.

By Thai law there has to be a Thai partner / Thai shareholders. I know this very well, I """own""" such a company myself and have so for nearly twenty years.

Visited the BBB Inn a few weeks ago. Upon arrival was told that it was 600 baht for a room. Of course having paid 500 baht on other visits during the same trip, I questioned the price. All 500 baht rooms are being used, only have 600 baht rooms available, I was told. Well, the 600 baht room was exactly like all of the other rooms I have been in at the hotel. With the exception of the fact that the water in the shower wouldn't get hot and the a/c wouldn't get cold.

Time to find a new place!

....seems the receptionist made some "extra Baht" without the knowledge of his boss.

What was the room like? The bathroom? Is it as bad as suggested on this thread?

hcmpp 15th December 2010 05:52 PM

Large bed with clean sheets. TV with straight porn. Mirror on the ceiling. The bathroom was spacious. Toilet worked. No hot water in the shower and the shower head had a crack in it so water was coming out at all angles. No windows in the room. Fine for short time but I would not want to stay in that room.
