The gay umbrella section starts there and the yellow , red and blue sections (colour of deck chairs) have a few beefy Thai regulars who are more then open to approaches. Chock dii ! (Good luck !)
Thank you for the info. I will probaby stay in one of this view talay appartment (week rental are ok + there have swimming pools), so I guess it is close to the gay beach

View Talay 5 and 7 are perfect - direct beach access. VT 1 and 2 are across the Thepraya Rd.

Dongtan beach ...

-- Last week my Enthusiastic & Am. Friend and I went to PATTAYA: he stayed for a couple of days and I remained there for three.

-- At DONGTAN BEACH we availed of our usual concession that's opposite to TUI's. Plenty of Germans - many of whom were ciggie.-smokers.
- For my last day I moved farther along, past where the Rainbow flag flies, to the concession opp. to SOMBOON REST'T., wch. is more Russian country.
-- We both noticed the lack of young men on the beach; also no groups playing beach-volleyball, or similar beach-games.

Some a go-go bars ...

-- My Enthusiastic & Am. Friend and I visited FUNNY BOYS - BoyzTown, twice. Quite a fair sel'n. of young men, with #99. looking to be the most well-endowed!
- We attended HAPPY PLACE's 'Bingo evening.' without winning any prizes, even although each of us was assisted by one of the young men. Afterwards the young men's performance on stage was quite predictable; they were joined by a troupe of Hip-hop dancers who were quite skilled, afterwards they passed-around an hat for appreciative donations.

-- On my last eveing, (alone), I visited SUNNEE PLAZA;
- I supped in LITTLE MANGO REST'T. wch. seems to be fairly popular with farangs.
-- My first port of call was NEW SAWATDEE A GO-GO BAR, this time no-one of any attraction - unless one prefers the very young looking young men, (a couple of who are well-endowed for their years & phys. size.), as seemed to be the case with some visitors;
- Then on to GOOD BOYS, maybe a dozen or so young men, several of whom were playing with themselves in an obvious desire to attract attention and TIPs. - none of them was all that desirable to these eyes, especially the much younger seeming ones. In general a scruffy bunch.
- Finally to EROS A GO-GO BAR, where there were no young men of questionable age. I reckoned that all of the ten or so young men there were more than 'Ready, Willing and Able.' - some of the other visitors found that to be all too true, also, and accepted invitations to retire to behind the cutained-off back room: ;-)

Popped into New Sawasdii in Sunnee. Plenty of boys and customers, majority I reckon legal age, - but - at least 2 of the boys barely out of nappies in white briefs with numbers. . The idiots running these places are just asking to be shut down.

Ganymede March 3rd 7 pm, Jomtien Complex.
Great night anticipated with Take Care fund raiser at Ganymede on their terrace saturday evening. All sorts of entertainement and prizes to be won, raffles. Helping the Working boys to stay healthy by providing free condoms and lube packages. Come and enjoy the evening and support a good cause

TOY BOYS - BoyzTown ...

-- During our last visit to PATTAYA my Enthusiastic & Am. Friend and I sat outside CAFE ROYAL watching the young men arriving for work and awaiting the opening of FUNNY BOYS;
- Both of us reckoned that some of the young men working in TOY BOYS looked to be MORE SUNNEE PLAZA material than BoysTown - seemingly scarcely of legal age. We wondered, too, if the younger men were switching from VASA to TOY BOYS, but didn't feel inclined to visit the former to see for ourselves.

For me this is still one of the nicest places for dinner in the area. Ken and his staff are friendly, charming and helpfull. The food is reasonably priced and tasty.

Agreed. Actually I had one the best pepper steaks I've every enjoyed there- and cheap. A nice bonus is the "help yourself free soup tourine".

Went to Pattaya last week and here’s what I found:

Vassa Boys – Small bar with only 6 boys on premise. The mamasen said they have a total of 10 boys, but some have not shown up that day. Mostly sissy looking/acting, but there were one or two who were more straight acting.

New Sawadee Boys – has about 15 boys or so, among them at least 4 were underage. The boy who sat with me for a drink told me that the ones without a number are underage, and pointed out a few who were 16 or 17. One Indian looking lad who did have a number told us himself that he was 17. The rest of the boys were ok and there were some good looking ones. However, the long hair transvestite mamasen was extremely obnoxious and unhelpful, and I ended up having to leave the premise just to get away from her.

Toy Boys – There were about a dozen boys. At least two of them looked to me clearly underage. There are no shows, just go-go “dancing.” Actually there wasn’t much dancing either. Like most of the other bars (including the New Sawadee Boys) the boys simply stood stationary in one spot. They didn’t rotate position or turned around, so that the customers only had one view only.

Le Mariana Restaurant – I was looking for a change from Thai cuisine and a nice meal with food to which my stomach is accustomed, so I walked into this nicely decorated (in the context of the environment) new restaurant in Sunee plaza called Le Mariana. Essentially all of the diners were Caucasian male retirees about 60-70+ years of age. As a younger Asian man I was immediately greeted with suspicion. They looked at me as though to say “what are you doing here?” I told them that wished to dine. Duh…..it’s a restaurant for heaven’s sake.

Somehow I was never served the amuse-bouche or bread, even though all other tables were served these items. I wonder whether it was just the chaotic service that typify the place or that an Asian customer is automatically put on a low priority for service. Unfortunately the latter scenario is commonly observed in Thailand. The service staff included an older women and a young trainee, who was trying hard but didn’t quite know what to do (e.g., he rearranged the silverware on my table a few times as though by trial and error before getting it right). The food was credible bistro fare, not outstanding but not too bad. But the service really needs work. My entrée order was placed incorrectly and they had to reorder the correct dish, although they caught the error themselves without me having to point it out. I suppose their service gaffes may have been excusable in some other restaurants in Pattaya, although I set them to a different standard since they clearly have higher aspirations. It would also help if they recognize that Asian men dine as well, not just Caucasian retirees.
