You may remember me, a few months ago I did ask you advises for my first holiday in Thailand. Now I was there and enjoyed it
very very much.

First I was a few days in Phukett, I staid at the Tana Patong Hotel, not in the center, just about a 5 min. walk to the beach. It was a good hotel, the hotel which I really did look for. Nice rooms, small but ok garden, nice small pool. No problem to bring a guest to a room. Guest just have to leave it i.d. at the reception. Very very friendly people at reception, restaurant, pool bar, etc. Just one advice, please do not accept a room in the "D" building, that building is close to the road and after 02:00 a.m., when everybody is going home, it is very very noicy. The other buildings are ok.

Nightlife, bars etc. is what I did expect and what I have read from this board. I just had the feeling, that some bars, which are mentioned on dred's net page, are very quiet, just in the main bar street was action, all other streets had been very quiet. The shows, had not been was I was looking for, all of them not that hot.....

Finally, I have spend one night in Bangkok, I was at the Tarntawan Place Hotel, which I like to suggest to everybody, it's a nice and "uncomplicated" hotel, I really enjoyed the night there.

Unfortunatelly, I did not have the time to visit all the places, you suggested to me, but what I've seen was great.

Again, thank you for your help und advises for my first stay and I'm quite sure that I will be back soon or later.....
