Very easy going, professionally run and discreet.Superb location for Skytrain and Silom access.Easy walking distance.A fellow CFS member thought the breakfast portions could have been more generous but for me they were adequate.Another opinion is that the Pinnacle offers the same for less cost. But they don't have the location.Recommend it also for ambience. If you bring somebody back for the night a no fuss I.D.check is carried out.
I have stayed there twice.Enough said. |

I love the Tarwantan Place hotel. The only problem I have with them, is no safety box in the room...this is essential when you bring guests over, especially if they (or him)sleep over. Their safety box at the front desk is just not a convenient option to me.

I must agree, an excellent hotel very well run and extremely friendly. A good location and despite being in the middle of all the action, it is very quiet in the rooms.
No guest hassle whatever, security staff who wander round are totally discreet. My only problem is that they do not have their own swimmimg pool. I would certainly reccomend the hotel without any hesitation. |

This past summer I stayed there. When my Thai friend and I tried to bring a third friend home for an innocent post-midnight meal, he was denied entrance. A few night later we tried to bring home a third guy for a sleep-over and he was denied entrance. Another friend visiting from Europe offed two boys from one of the bars and he was not allowed to bring both of them to his room. I do not understand this puritanical rule.

You can also make a booking directly at www.tarntawan.com I have got to admit that the room at Tarntawan is much more spacious than the Pinnacle’s. But I personally would not choose to pay and stay at the Tarntawan. All I want is a "nice and simple, clean and safe" hotel that provides air-conditioner, daily cleaning, private bath, TV and friendly hotel staff. Ambiance is wonderful but not necessary for me personally. Afterall, I use the hotel just to sleep at night and spend most of the time cruising elsewhere.

Tarntawan is a bit too expensive for my cheapskate blood (cheap at least when it cums to hotel rooms!) but most everyone that I know that's stayed there likes the place a lot. I've never heard of "extra" guests being turned away. Perhaps they were underage or could not furnish ID's? Hard to say without knowing more details.
