I would stay at Ambience or Cafe royale first time around , but anyway any hotel if you don´t like it you can cancel.they will charge you one nights stay and then you can move on after checking out the hotel you want.

Well, Jess, as told before... I did like the Icon Hotel in Pattaya - but, of course, you have to set priorities.. it's a bit aside, not middle in the action, so more calm, situated between Pattaya south and Jomtien Beach. If you want to stay in the middle of the action, you should maybe stay in the gay area in Pattaya, like Ambiance etc... And the Icon is not cheap, though it's nicely decorated and comfortable, food is fine, and rooms are not bad, I'd say. - I think I will try the Studio Suites this time or the Welcome Plaza, will see..
