The problem is, if one is a tourist and doesn't want to keep going back to his hotel for more money, one doesn't know how much money will be needed for that day of cruising. One never knows how many hot guys, short-stay hotels, etc. will be encountered in one day. I have gone out and gone to several saunas in one day, several cinemas, and paid multiple hustlers, etc. I wear shorts with many zipper pockets (as well as a little shoulder bag) so a pick-pocket would not know where to start. But I almost never carry more than about 5,000 baht (and usually a lot less).

Not quite but I roll them up wallet innermost in the roll and take the package and park it somewhere that I can see it. Wrap them in your towel if necessary. I DEFINITELY would never leave it in the room. Apart from your masseur there are other staff floating about. While I think most of these guys are very good I think it is best not to put temptation in the way. Never had a problem in many years.

-- Two thoughts come to mind - 1.- Wear a money-belt under yr. clothing wch. you may take-in to the shower with you; you can pretend that it's a small support belt for yr. lower back; 2.- Wrap yr. money around yr. penis and cover with a Condom. That way others will see the bulge in yr. shorts and will draw their own conclusions! Also you'll know straight away if someone's trying to make-off with yr. money. Finally, a Condom - being water-proof - will keep yr. money dry whilst you take a shower, won't it?

A few days ago, while surfing idly, I came across a mention of a place called "66 massage" on Sukhumvit Soi 13.
At first I thought it was a typo, referring instead to 69 Massage, which I believe, is now history. But the paragraph mentioned "66" twice. Has anyone heard of this place?

I had a pretty good experience at the Banana Men's Club on Suk. 11 recently. I have not been there in years and with the front entrance sand-bagged it does not look inviting. I did not like the rooms, common ceiling--I do not want to hear the guy in the next room.
All that has changed. The rooms are clean, worn but private now. No en-suite showers though. The owner said they are going to renovate all the rooms and are starting from the top. The room I had was much bigger than the ones at Hero. The bed was not a massage table but a double mattress with a pillow. Worked out OK. There were about 15 boys and of good quality. None of that line up stuff that some farangs don't like. The owner made it a point to tell me that all the boys were "gay" if that has any meaning? I picked one almost at random. He was very nice, Isaan boy and spoke no English. I speak Thai, so no problem. I was not specifically looking to do anything but he just naturally progressed to sa-moke and then produced a condom out of thin air, he lubed me up and straddled me with some skill. If "gay" means they bottom that that's what he did but then admitted to me in Thai that he likes ladies, want to get married but then told me that he is not suppose to tell that to customers. He only told me this when I told (lied) to him that I was married to a Thai lady. I was not sure I got the full 90 min but I did not take in a stop watch. I guess time goes fast when your having fun as it was later than I thought when I got back in the street. I am not sure what the rooms will look like when this renovation is complete, showers? Maybe some can report an update here?

...but no mention of 66 in those references.
The massage place across the road from Apsara on Silom used to have one or two pasty-faced blobby types waiting outside for customers. But now has been renamed Angkor massage and has a better selection of boys. This is the place near to Sukhothai massage. I went to Saladaeng massage today and found some boys outside to my liking...plus dear old June who has been there for years. They have closed down the downstairs foot massage area and now you climb up a staircase to what seems to be a reduced-size upper portion, without the sprawling, yet enjoyable Thai massage section. I took my boy Nat to a poky room with no ceiling-high partition and had to shower down the passage a little way in a toilet room barely larger than that at Best massage. But the water was hot. Unfortunately there is insufficient room to squeeze your masseur in at the same time unless he sits on the toilet. A few people might complain about the facilities, unless you have a fresh, cheerful and [straight and small] tantalizing masseur to compensate for the inconveniences. Certainly I would return if I spot another lad as enjoyable as Nat.
