Hero massage has been recommended to me as THE place to be pampered in for half a day. I'd appreciate if some of you experienced and updated guys could elaborate on the details: type of masseurs; interaction; prices; opening hours; what's to do between sessions; etc.
Thanks guys.

Hero: Athletic to muscular guys (but not as steroided as Tawan's). Not for those who like twinks or fems.
Massage rooms: cramped, narrow beds. Showers the size of closets. Not for those of ample girth. One hour massage = 600 baht. I can't imagine spending half a day there. What's there to do after the massage? Eat in the restaurant? Might as well go to Babylon (if you're non-East Asian) or Chakran (if you're East Asian). There's massage within Babylon and massage at V-Club adjacent to Chakran.

Most of the straight mass. places or real SPAs offer packages, which essentially are several different treatments after 1 another. May include a sauna-all for yourself, or mani/pedicure etc. Total the sum-less a little discount. In places like the Healthland chain etc. I thinkhero just imitates that-to keep the punters in for longer.

Late comment-nut I would not worry at all about that. I go weekly to a regular-only masasage place right below at the condo, with a pleasant guy from Kalasin. with excellent massage-skills. He saves to buy a motosay. He does daily 5-6 turns of 1 or 1,.5 hrs. Once he succeeded me in doing Thai+oil right after. Interestingly, he had quite another idea of how that il would be used-with just a towel drying up right after the massage. Always a modesty phaakamaa. But I stick to the Thai only since and have the oily or creamy things in other places.
