Me thinks that says enough of that place: high prices for hi-So Thai. Attractive masseurs you can find in most shops, and by now I found hat at least half of the available masseurs in most shops are not on that site TMB pictured anyway (in some shops they are asked to pay for their inclusion and pix etc.). But it remains a great site!

a week or 2 ago, BAN KLUAY (=banana house), on RamkamHaeng/corner of soi 48, which is quite near the lamsalee crossing and roughly opposite from the private gay bar street there.
Entry around 19.00, early evening, midweek. This is a refurbished shophouse of 3 floors, very nicely redone in a smart contemporary style. Noone to be seen from outside, many windows, but these are partly obscured. Entry led to some visible consternation of the receptionist, he spoke only limited english and kept unnerved when adressed in Thai. Another guy was called for, the tobeexpected RKHaeng student with better, but still limited angrit. Seemed they had a lot of ignorant farang walking in the last time, as there is a big hotel just further on used as transit-stop by some travel agents for tourgroups transit at swampy. Anyway, when this was all settled and the TMB site mentioned, it was allright. But there were just 2 guys to choose, one of which was this one, which I duly chose then. Average encounter, he did his best, but seemed not to well trained. Was not on the listing of TMB-ourboys, forgot his name. He told me it was fairly busy at weekends, but on many weekdays there were no real customers at all. Low price (oil 90 mins is just 500-they also offer just Thai). he told me he tried to gain some money for going out to entertainment in weekends. Not worth going out of your way for, after this time. I was in Bangkapi anyway that day. THis place is related to Ruang RabRong on Lard Prao. In another wwwsite it mentions a fone nr for info(prospecting workers) at Bento-Silom/SalaDaeng.

while I was at Onnut last week, i wanted to visit the shop of PUlalai, across from the Carrefour. However, I was informed that a wait would be nearly 1 hr for a male oil-masseur. A lady might be available a little earlier. Said i might return. Checked the other shops in the soi toward Carrefour-it would seem to me a few of that awful lot had closed, but still many left. Most also quite busy, lots of shoes outside, but no winking masseurs.
Further along Sukhumvit, toward Bang na, is a nice place, named PIMALAI, a detached old-style wooden house, but it charges 250/hr for Thai and 5090/hr for oil=double all the other places. Seems more like a local Healthland-style upmarket spa. So-this time no report from there.

-- One of the local taxi-drivers confirmed what my eyes saw - METTAWEE MASSAGE PARLOR., on Suriwong rd., has CLOSED;
- loc'n.: but one next to TARNTAWAN PL. HTL. and roughly opp. to TAWANA BKK. HTL.; - I darewrite that a poor tourist-season may well result in a further winnowing of LESS than profitable such places?

-- My Enthusiastic & American Friend has recommended LIFE SOURCE MASSAGE PARLOR - Laksi.;
- Looking at the flg. map - > Bangkok ... * its address would appear to be: Kamphaeng Phet 6, soi 5, yaek 2.; - Nrest landmark would be LAKSI RLY. STN.; - Dirns.: the m/c. taxi men at LAKSI should know it; - tel.: (02)-574 5416.; - Recommended masseur is khun Chris.; as he is reported to be popular one is advised to make a booking early on in the day while he is still 'fresh.'! Reportedly he does not offer or accept a Final Favor but is v. much into being smoked, during wch. he will thrust foward in an effort to make the smoker gag. -- E&OE. as reported speech. -* NB.: In Google's Address-box I entered: "BANGKOK - 'Life Source.' massage parlor." wch. led me directly to the map. --

-- Y'day., 19 feb., I walked-by K-WHY MASSAGE PARLOR. at around 22.20.hrs.; judging from the materiel stacked outside it looks as though it is CLOSED for good. - If so, then because of possible financial circumstances, (?), another olde-tyme massage parlor has bitten the dust.

I had a similar experience at Bandung Spa yesterday. It seems to have been converted into some kind of open air bar or restaurant--not gay.
The massage set there included a nice soak in a big tub--I will miss one of the few massage venues on our side of the river.

sorry for you. yes, indeed in Thonburi or anywhere west of the river there seem to be a dearth of those palces. Did you ask if by any chance they did not move to other premises? That also happens quite often with such shops. They got good reviews on this site too.

THE BEST MASSAGE by Men
Open 11am - 12pm, 3rd Flr upstairs from KFC. [Ph 02 2379239] Can't remember the name of hte building but it is right beside the Northern side of BTS Sala Daeng with entry between Pizza Hut & KFC Foot massage 250B/Hr which is about the going rate around here. Arrived early afternoon. Mr Nut did the honours and it was a great massage The "mamasan" played for most of the time on his small apparatus of the electronic variety while Nut slave away on my legs. Very quiet at this time of the day. The massage 'chairs' are a little hard being bamboo with a thin cushion. The only negative comment really. They have 'private' rooms with the 3/4 walls and mattress on floor and may be the massage area for feet would not be all that good if there were a lot of others getting it aussi! Might try a takeaway from here but there may be better options...

-- That would be SILOM #64 BLDG., (there is a sky-walk from BTS. Sala Daeng,[S2.], to one of its UPPER floors.), in wch. there's also the GF. BEIRUT REST'T. and Mr. BOBBY's COFFEE BAR & TAKE-AWAY on one's LHS. as one enters. - From what I remember of earlier postings - possibly from khun Yannawa - is that their shower-cubicle(s) is/are v. small - just like 'phone. booths. that one sees on the streets. - Correct, too, about the rooms' partitions not being ceiling high. --
