I totally agree with lvrofasians. I didn't live in LA, but the other side of the US....in Miami. For several years, I attended monthly meetings of Asians and Friends. Since I was over 40, I never once even got a second look from any of the Asians. And, getting any of them to notice you in a bar was like trying to get Dame Edna into the Fryar's Club....it just couldn't be done. I always said that the one question they must ask of young Asians at immigration was "Can you stand and model?" If they answered "Yes" they were given residency status. If they answered "No" they were deported immediately. So, once I'd done my 30 years, I packed my bags and headed to the Big Mango. I've not been without a young 'un at my side since.
