Stay at The Bavana Hotel. It is directly in front of The Suriwongse Hotel....right on Suriwongse Road. Tell them you want a big room on the 6th or 7th floor. The room on the lower floors are for short-time only. Also, it may be wise to tell them that you want a room in the back....so you're not directly on Suriwongse Road. Guests in your room are not a problem....in fact, I think that they expect you to have a parade into and out of your room. Expect to pay about 1,200 baht a night, although they will try to tell you that the rooms cost 1,400 baht. Tell them you won't pay the higher rate and they'll give you the lower rate.
