kiki, i think i know who that guy who does not want to shower. is it one of the bigger guys that does the muscle show? i think he works out late, thus does not want to "get sick" by showering at night. i think it is a belief in some parts of South East Asia - the showering after working out i mean.
i'am quite surprise that a farang got the cold reception in tawan, i thought they only do that to asians.
. some of us actually want this apathetic attitude rather than the pushy bars in soi boi and patpong. but rest assured the non-superstars and even the superstars there are very friendly once you get to know them.
